I'm also working with very limited space. Glad to see the space still functional even with the collection piling up.

Oh man. It piles up at times. lol. But yeah, I’m down here at least 4-5 days a week so I always have to have room to actual use the weights!

Love the gym tour man! What a nice collection of globe dumbbells and roundheads. I know you put in the work to amass that!!

Thanks so much. It usually takes time unless you buy a whole set - which rarely happens. But I like the building out a set. Every piece you find is a small win.

Found a York ez curl bar this summer. Angles are much better then modern curl bars. More comfortable.
@vintageweightspgh2 ай бұрын
It’s my favorite traditional curl bar. And you can usually find them pretty cheap on used market. Thanks so much for watching! Btw my favorite curl bar overall is the Criterion. I love the rotating handles.

Use standard York 1 inch weights. Would like to find Gaspari Bar.

Thanks! I’m a beginner at best on the heavy bag. I’ve just watched a few KZbin videos. I’d like to learn more in the future. For now, it’s a fun workout.

Very Nice Gym Thnkx for letting us inside One question, what is a blob drag, I've never heard that before? Take Care
@vintageweightspgh2 ай бұрын
Blobs are half of a York Roundhead used for pinch grip training. To train heavier ones that I can’t lift yet, I pinch and drag them across the floor.

Sweet gym! Any idea how many pounds of plates you have?
@vintageweightspgh2 ай бұрын
About 2,000 pounds of weight plates including Olympic 2” and standard 1”. I fluctuate a bit depending on what I find or what I have to review. This is probably capacity. I like to lift everything in the gym.

What if Rob's gym was just a bunch of york & jackson plates and then a Tonal
@jeremyc78252 ай бұрын
I don't know if I missed this in a prior video, but just curious: It looks like you're very much into the old York/Jackson brands. I'm an unabashed Ivanko fanboi, so I'm curious if there's any reason you wouldn't have them in your collection or the old BFCO or other random brands? Just preference I'm guessing?
@vintageweightspgh2 ай бұрын
I’ve only ever had some Ivanko M series. I really liked the quality. The only downside IMO is that Ivanko deep dish aren’t as deep as others. They’re closer to International or Schisler in depth rather than 2” thick Yorks, Weiders, and Jackson’s. I’d love to find some BFCOs, but haven’t. And that’s really the reason I haven’t many Ivankos is that I just haven’t found many.

Did I miss how much for the Vintage Weights PGH Gym banner? By the way what does PGH mean?
@vintageweightspgh2 ай бұрын
PGH stands for Pittsburgh. I love my city. I sold a batch of banners about two years ago. I’ll probably do another batch this year. They were mini-banners (1x2’) for $12 including shipping.

Stowed in the garage. I bring it out when I’m going to use it for a couple weeks at a time. Just brought it out this past week actually. It’s a nice change of pace.
