Could add some teeth rings to the rollers on that scrolling axis feature to help it grip rather than slip past surfaces, maybe other ways to make the rollers grip easier. Rub em down with some sticky cotton candy sugar like material, or maybe adding rubber bands to the rollers would raise the height of the rollers if that matters. 3M adhesive tack spray, adding weight maybe matters.

Wow that thing is tiny portable. And that ability to use a additional axis that can allow longer materials to move past the laser you mentioned. This is some real Inspector Gadget material..go go gadget laserbeam!

That would help but it would also push the focus a few mm out of range. Might be worth a test though!

What is the bed size i. e max area which can be engraved?

The working area is 100mmx100mm or just under 4"x4". As you get to the corners you will loose a little bit of cutting area as the beam is angled more in those areas. But this is more of an engraving machine anyway.

Honestly not impressed at all. I feel like it would be much more useful if it was at least 10w so it would burn things quicker. Also not crazy about having to spend all that money for a portable system to use at shows....that then requires me to build some other enclosure for it to protect the customers' eyes. I think the XTool F1, though way more expensive, is a better buy and far more useful.

They do have the 10w / 2w IR version with the LP4 machine. This one did come out a while ago before the F1 and it's base price reflects the lower power and singe laser option.
