Don’t remember ever not liking a Vinwiki post. Ok, maybe a few from a winy mouth guy. But “this” post has to be my favorite. I got to know you, your ethics, your faith, your commitment to relationships (personal, private, religious and business). I’ll never own a “super” car. But I do own a super car. 87 911 Carmine Red Targa I bought 28 yrs ago. No rain, no snow, all original with so many rock chips. Hope to see many many more posts from Vinwiki. Thank you! ❤

The logical next step....I've been waiting for a VinWiki auto sales set up. A place for VinWiki members to list their automobiles, in one place, so that buyers KNOW they're getting a vehicle from someone who cares enough to track it in such a manner! Here's the thing on PDK (long term): It might be the fastest way to shift right now, but before long something will come along that is faster and likely for less money, so the value of the car will be more in how enjoyable it is to drive than how fast it does a lap. The great part is Randy Pobst tested a manual and PDK GT3 around the same track and the difference was less than half a second (0.2 I think).

That was my question that you answered at 41:18! Thanks for answering it. I remember years ago you talked about building the userbase and perhaps selling off some equity, which is the normal path for a lot of these startups. About your mobile app, maybe try getting in touch with some companies in Europe. The prices are way cheaper than what you mentioned and the quality is often better than the one from US companies. Software in the US is often extremely overpriced.

Hello Ed, fantastic news and many, many a hearty congratulations to you!! Really over-the-moon for you and everyone involved with VINwiki as it’s very much deserved. It’s also a pleasure to see decent people doing well (for a change, it’s normally the cutthroat swines that do so well) with their endeavours. I’m an investor and agree with you in the main, though I’m not sure what you said about Murcis, can’t remember I mean, not that you were wrong etc… Anyway, that would be my pick (I’m currently looking at 3) because they’re few and far between and, although I’ve not driven one as yet, I know how brilliant they are from vicarious conversations. Another field which is REALLY strong are old race cars (the better the provenance the more bunce to be made, obviously) but anything from the Group B rally days (not a big thing over there I know) and the homologation specials (only 200 of each). Thanks mainly to KZbin really, their price is rocketing up and they’re amazing fun to drive (see Jay Leno and the 037 Lancia, or elsewhere for the Peugeot 205 T16 Evo for more details). I had the latter and I sold it when it double-trebled in value. I got in for £25k but literally days later it was worth £50k… Tgen not long after they went up to £150k and I thought that was their upper limit. It’s a Peugeot hatchback fgs… Nothing under £1/2M now :) :) And when we meet, I’ll introduce myself and tell you about the 250LM I was offered to purchase and said “No, that’s just too much, it’s a wreck.” I’ll then tell you what that very car sold for recently :) :) Thankfully, I’ve been very lucky otherwise. Really sorry for the essay btw, I’m just thrilled that this channel has made SUCH AN IMPACT on the world. I also love that we’re all united, wherever we are from, by old Top Gear, the proper, English one… :) :) Keep up the amazing work anyway. ♥️ to all at VW
