Hi, I have the AT-6011a and when I use the brush as instructed, the dust on the record forms a line where I placed it. It rarely collects the dust and actually removes it from the record. When I brush the collected dust after it's done moving kind of . But leaves unsightly marks on the record. Is there any way to prevent this?
@AudioTechnicaUSA3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! From time to time you do need to do a wet wash with something like the AT6012 record care kit. The AT-6011a will loosen the debris from the grooves, but it need to be picked up and removed by the wet wash. Thanks! - A- T USA

This video says five drops of the solution in the each of the two holes, but the back of the box says to use 2ml between the two holes. Which is the proper way?
@VictorO922 жыл бұрын
I have the same question. The product instructions say 4 ml in total which is roughly 200 drops...

How many records is the deep clean good for before you need to apply more solution? Or is it good for just side a and b of a disk and then you need to re fill it?

This is a good question 🤔, no reply?

One unit on the bottle is alot and only makes sense for absolutely filthy records. 6 drops (3 each hole) is enough for the average LP My bottles last me 1-2 years

Unfortunately, it leaves fibers on the plate.

Just bought the AT6012 Record Cleaning Kit today, and it looks like the velvet pad on the brush doesn't get moistened after I drop the solution into the holes... Not even in 5 or 10 min time. What might be the problem here?
@AudioTechnicaUSA3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ivan! Be certain that you’re adding enough solution (4ml) evenly to the two holes on the cleaning brush. The material on the brush will not be excessively wet but rather have just a slight dampness to clean record surfaces. For continued use, add cleaning solution drops as needed. Let us know if adding more solution doesn’t fix the issue. Thanks! - A-T USA

Is there a correct position for the at6013a? It sometimes makes a loud squeak/scratching noise when lowered on a spinning record.
@AudioTechnicaUSA3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nick! It just sits over the spindle. The is only one way to place it on the record. Thanks! - A-T USA

Can the 6012 be used for dry cleaning?
@AudioTechnicaUSA4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, absolutely! You don’t have to use the cleaner if you don’t need to. Our anti-static brushes are great, if you just need a dry brush: www.audio-technica.com/en-us/catalogsearch/result/?q=anti-static%20record Thanks! - A-T USA

If I use the sonic broom and then wipe the excess dust off, will the brush still be wet enough for me to clean another record? And how long will the record take to dry generally?
@AudioTechnicaUSA3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andy! Yes, it will and the record dries in about 5 seconds. Thanks! - A-T USA

Im not AT and one year late, but id recommend using only 2 drops per hole unless you have a REALLY dirty record. 5 a hole is quite excessive

If I have the AT6012 CLEANING kit do I need to buy an anti-static brush or no?
@AudioTechnicaUSA Жыл бұрын
Hi Marco! Using both would be ideal. The AT6011a Anti-Static Record Brush helps remove harmful dust and contaminants from your vinyl records. Its conductive synthetic fibers help to dissipate static. It also increases the lifetime of your cartridge and improves your listening experience by reducing surface noise. Thanks! - A-T USA

The AT6013a is the single most useless product I've ever bought and that's saying something. It doesn't clean AT ALL, causes insane amounts of static and even scratches records.

Yeah fr. I have one like the first one he showed and if you lift it up directly you leave one big line of dust on your record all in one place. I usually do brush it off the side gently but even that doesnt work optimal oftrn
@eightcoins44012 жыл бұрын
With carbon brushes, you need to gently tilt it so the bristles are diagonal so they actually pick up and dont just collect dirt
