Very nice George, I am just recently exploring those UK artists, cool to see those you picked up. And the prices seemed very good!

@@jazzbumsmike cheers mike yes nice to pick up a couple of originals they probably got a few more releases around the world at the time. I’m fairly new to British jazz also. Great new rabbit hole to explore.

Hey George, only watched part of video so far (will finish later.) Really good records there! I’ll definitely order the Rendell LP….really like his music. The Joe Harriot one sounds like something I would like also (listened to some of his music but couldn’t find this one on Apple Music.) but I really liked what I heard. Have a nice warm day!

@@williamnow146 hi Bradley yes you will love the don Randell lp as you have him. Should be Joe harriott solo stuff kicking around. He done some free but also done a more conventional hard bop I have coming.

Hi George. Sweet Stan Tracey pick-up, I rarely see his records about the place. I used to see his son Clark live quite a bit back in the day on the Yorkshire jazz scene - just looked him up and it turns out he's written a book about his Dad (came out in 2017). Liking the British slant here, must check some of these out, really like what I've heard of Don Rendell. 👍

Hi James. Yes what a treasure trove of great British jazz out there. Just needs bit more work to find it.

Pretty sure they’ve done a couple of runs of the Gearbox British jazz either that or a staggered release of one run. Hoping they find a few more as I’m missing one or two. Also I would recommend the British jazz compilation, my copy gets regular airtime.

Hello there George. Nice to see you again. I appreciate your take on Getting Around. I hesitated on buying it because of the reviews. Not that it is a bad album at all. But I think I have enough with "Go", "One Flight Up", "Doin' Allright" and "Our Man in Paris". That is all that I need at the moment. Definitely checking out the Andrew Hill. Another one of my faves. Thanks George. You set the jazz bar way high again~ Rob/Boston

@@Paneeks1960 hi rob hope you are well yip your right with Dexter Gordon. Doesn’t do a bad lp but you got to draw a line with some artists. Stanley turentine. Grant green. Donald Byrd etc. Andrew hill is a great challenge to your mind.

Wow, that's a great stack of records. I had not heard of Joe Harriott and John Mayer before - sounds really interesting. Spacewalk looks great too - fantastic cover, as you mentioned. It's interesting: I think you said that you prefer original tunes for jazz albums. I think I prefer to hear new interpretations of standards. Maybe you prefer a 75/25 percentage weighted towards new music, while I would prefer standards. lol Doesn't matter of course. Thanks for showing the records George!

The first Indo Jazz Suite LP was recently reissued by a label called Audio Clarity which I believe is basically a Russian bootleg label. I picked up a copy. I'm no audiophile, but it sounds decent to my ears for the price I paid which I believe was under 20 bucks. I had never heard it before and decided to take the gamble. It's very enjoyable music. Nice mix of Indian music and Jazz without coming off hokey or gimmicky.
