Hiya George, i missed this when you dropped it. Great video mate! Enjoy Morocco!!, It looks like North Berwick where you are! Superb vinyl finds! That Dexter Gordon was a steal. So glad you showed Mathew Halsall! He played here in Exeter a month ago and my mate got me a ticket. It was an outstanding performance, and I bought that album and met him at the end of the gig and got him to sign the inner sleeve. I played a couple of his tracks on my radio show today. Such a sleak performance and he was so kind. I'll do a vid soon ,I've been struggling too with world events and generally life stuff, but things seem a little brighter atm. Music seems to sooth the soul! Cheers again

Welcome back George, sorry to hear about the boiler. Nice selection - Roy Haynes is a great drummer. They used to nickname him 'snack crackle pop' because of his snare sound. Great cover shot on the Idris Muhammed, I'll try and stream that one. Hope that encroaching ocean keeps itself in check.

Both Woody Shaw and Gary Bartz had been on a Pharoah Sanders album just before that. That was my introduction to both of them. That's a great and varied batch of jazz albums! Fontella Bass, soul singer who had a big hit "Rescue Me" in 1965 was Lester Bowie's wife.

@@scottspinner1 I recently picked up my first Lester Bowie, called The 5th Power on Black Saint. It's a pretty fun session, lots of variety. Side 2 switches to a funk style for a couple tracks. Worth checking out.

Always good to get some lunch. The sea looks very wild and cold today George. Incredible how many albums Dexter Gordon has made, what a discography. Cool looking Brubeck album and you can do the art work thread! Good to see you George. The World is a scary place right now, how bad is this gang to get?

Hi G. I picked up some Art P today ... that + eleven looks interesting on craft. Anyhow I found some on contemporary. There's an original usa saxophone colossus by S Rollins in the shop in lovely condition for £300. It seems like a good deal, but I never heard it b4? Be good

Hi ian you no watching the gers. Lol. Aye the art pepper is good. I don’t really hunt out blue note originals when you can get audiophile copies that are mint cheap and possibly better. If I could find them at a good price in really good nick then maybe. Yip the sonny Rollins is a great lp.
