Hi Chris, I have watched almost no videos lately but when I saw your thumb nail with The Cramps how could I not watch. Crazy how Alex Chilton produced that. One of my top 10 favorite albums Enjoy. Thank you also for the kind words Chris. Looking forward to seeing you again.

I didn't have that Cramps album in any format so it was a welcome addition. Looking forward to August as well. The kind words are deserved my friend.

Nice pickups especially the Destination Out- Jackie McLean and Mr. Wonderful-Fleetwood Mac. I may try delving into McLean’s freer stuff. You’d think because Fleetwood Mac was such a popular group that all their albums would be relatively easy to find, but that is definitely not the case for this one!

Well...you kind of have to look at Fleetwood Mac as 2 different bands. Their popularity really didn't come until the Buckingham/ Nicks era. I love both eras of the group but the Peter Green era is great. Take care!

Once again Chris you picked up definite essential listens. But first. The microphone on the iPhone sounds much clearer and louder. So that Idris Mohammad is more of a fan album than it is jazz funk? After seeing the album artwork I started questioning whether the VC has had a albums with hands on the cover theme. {smile} Heck that does sound like a very cool thread or contest theme. Ornette in Stockholm is a classic. Man it seems like the jazz gems find their way to you instead of you finding them. You always score some of the tougher ones to track down. Enjoy the rest of the weekend C~ Rob/Boston

Thanks for the feedback on the microphone. I will continue to roll with that. That Idris album can get kind of disco at times but still has a good amount of funk to it. I didn't know if I would get blocked for showing that Jane's album...LOL! Hope all is well up in the NE. Take care!

Never seen that Sonny Stitt record. I think Dillon interviewed that Glasshouse Dude recently on his podcast. The Gary Bartz just got a reissue but it looks shady. Great find. Destination Out is serious business. Been looking for those Ornette volumes but only ever run across the 75th Anniversary pressings so been holding out.

He did interview Alex on the podcast. I am on the lookout for the Bartz Milestone albums. Destination Out is one of my top 10 Blue Notes I own now....just terrific. Take care Dave!
