Very informative video, do you mind me asking what type of micro-fiber cloth you are using before you put the records in the rack? I have used Spin Clean cloth's before, but they do tend to leave just a small amount of lint on the records.

The Japanese know how to make an amp look impressive even if the sound has its limitations, their inbred inherent love for a clean and bright sound. It kicks out 120w at 8 ohms and 170 at 4 ohms, impressive but that is tops so its really nothing special just looks an absolute beast. I would guess the Yamaha sounds better, I love their "Natural" tone

Another fantastic array of albums Chris. Darn. You nailed some good ones. Beautiful copy of Symphony For Improvisors. <> I got to ask you. Why were you waiting for the Tone Poet release for Passing Ships? Is that your favorite Andrew Hill album? Or were you anticipating a better sounding pressing? I love the Tone Poet series myself. I love Empyrean Isles, I would love to find an OG of that. The first 3 Hancock albums are my favorite. I recently got that Hooker album also, I was surprised it was on Impulse. I need to buy more blues from Analog Productions. I had so much in in CD, now I have to pick and choose what I want. Soul Station is awesome, right in my wheelhouse. That was a lot of pickups and even a gatefold crack thrown in for good measure. Steve

Good morning Chris. What a great haul of jazz and some. The Arthur Conley was a nice find. One of my soul favorites. Such a huge talent. I pulled out my old singles recently. I must have spun 'Sweet Soul Music' about five times. That would make it into my top ten songs of all time list. If I ever do one. {smile} De La's 'Stakes Is High' and Herbie's Empyrean Isles' were huge finds. Those nineties hip hop pressings are getting rarer by the day. We would have cases of new release CD's come in the store and just two boxes of vinyl. The DJ's were buying up the vinyl pressings. <> That Billy Harper is a cool find. The copy of Monk's 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' that I picked up at RSD a few years back was released by Sam Records. A really nice pressing. I did pick up the Hooker reissue from AP. I dig how they did the Impulse labels. It sounds fantastic like you stated. <> Man. I feel like I was just on a vinyl record ride at Six Flags. {smile} You got to put on the lap-bar before watching one of your new update Chris. Outstanding stuff across the board. Thanks for sharing them all. I hope that all is better than ever on the west coast. Let the sun shine~ Rob/Boston

I didn't think that the sound was bad before Chris. But it does sound good now. The ECM Art Ensemble was a nice find. <> Magicians Holiday is a fun album. Some of it has a Sly Stone vibe to it. I dig the song 'Bad Girl'. Some great guitar. Really funky. I dig the album overall. Way to go . This one should be shown and bought. <> Dig the Alice Coltrane on Impulse. One of my all time favorite labels bar none. You never disappoint Chris. Are the all the shops open for business out there? Hope so. Have a dynamite week. Congrats on your 75th vinyl finds video. Is that Record Jungle the store on Whittier Blvd.? When I lived in LA I was very close to that store. I need to get that PJ Harvey reissue. The Black Jazz reissues are really good. Some are right up my alley but others are not. I've picked up three so far, Calvin Keys, Roland Haynes and Henry Franklin. I went to Real Gone Music to see which ones are still available. There were three and The Awakening is the one I really was digging. I think when it came out I only listened to the first song and I thought it was okay. Last night I listened to the complete album. If I had listened to the 2nd song I would have picked it up. Great stuff.

I can always count on your for an old school vinyl update with lots of jazz gems Chris. That S-E Stanley Cowell, Billy Harper, Reggie Workman & Billy Hart looks very cool. <> Soundgarden was one of the best club shows that I saw in the late eighties/early nineties. I saw them at a club called Axis on Lansdowne St. Danzig played with them. <> Very cool McLean grab. You don't see many of those around anymore. As soon as they are put out someone grabs them. Good to see the Foo's new album too. Did you hear any of the live stuff and interview on the Howard Stern Show recently? It was worth hearing.
