Love the Mankunku. I find most of the South African jazz from that period is joyful and uplifting. Big fan

I listened to that Meslien on my phone in the middle of the night as we drove to New York this week. It was absolutely perfect. Beautiful record. Will be looking to pick it up on vinyl.

Sounds like I'm gonna need to track down this Kham Meslien, sounds way too good. Haven't seen that Touchin On Trane before, very cool. The Xaba and Natives is a beautiful one. Got the most recent reissue of that. Hope to see another vid soon James!

The Mankunku Quartet is damn good. I featured it in a video for Alex’ Coltrane thread I think. I have never seen that McLean in a shop here. Great find. I still need to pick up Touchin’ On Trane. Killer lineup. Peace.

Company is called Lundia - you used to be able to buy from them direct online but they look to be a commercial only company these days!
