I bet those are nice record shops you mentioned in your intro ! Cool Devo.. And smooth jazz really takes a punishing in our VC ! That's a beautiful Spirit copy.. I forget which side I like best.. The whole album is terrific ! I like Stoner Rock, a lot ! When I first heard it back in 1990 or '91.. It reminded me of Sabbath, Deep Purple and Humble Pie, and more blues rock, hard rock bands of the early 1970's ! Enjoy that Spirit LP Steve !

It was my uncle who got me into music and digging through the crates....so well done. Some great finds there. Having just heard of the passing of Jimmy Buffet I'm reminded of how many of these great artists are gone. Thank God we have their talent captured on vinyl and CD.

Rick thanks for hanging out. My uncle also helped me get into music so I guess I’m just returning the favor. I had not heard about Jimmy Buffet. I made this video and headed to the campground. Peace ☮️

Good to see you out and about!! Nice diverse pick ups!! I love Harry Chapin, such a great storyteller. Love that your nephew has gotten into this expensive lifestyle. Always nice to share experiences like this with loved ones!!

Kendall. Thanks for stopping by and hanging out. I barely hit the edge of Harry Chapin, but you are right so good. I dig the whole album. Cool digging with family. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

I hear you loud and clear on the QOTSA releases. Very cool that you are showing your nephew the record shop ands digging scene. Page was surely young on that JC album. I am still wondering why he stopped playing guitar. He was playing to the best of his ability on the 1973 Zeppelin tour. Even during the Plant/Page 1995 Tour he was showing flashes of brilliance. But after that.... Solid showings Zonkman. Always appreciate your updates~ Rob/Boston

Rob you are class act VC royalty. QOTSA can be hard to figure out for me sometimes. The rest was pretty standard 70’s plus some stoner at the end. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

Glad to hear you got to go shopping with your nephew. That Earthless album cover (the first one) is fantastic. The second one looks awesome too. I have that DEVO record; I think "Through Bein' Cool" was the hit from that album. Thanks for the update Zonkman - enjoy your vacation!

Cool Randall, do you have any Earthless? Sometimes their vibe is a little different and being mostly instrumental. Their covers are always rad artwork. Thanks for hanging out. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

Great additions to the collection there Zonkman. The Hiroshima is a good one from what I remember of it. Nice find with the Joe Cocker. Yeah prices of new and used records have certainly shot up this past year in particular I've noticed. Enjoy spinning.

Grant, thanks for stopping by and hanging out. Yea I’ve only gotten into Hiroshima because of the VC the past 5 years. Good ole Joe Cocker! Have you seen the Woodstock footage where his hands look like he’s freaking out up there singing. Wild stuff. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

Hey Zonkman. I’m of a fan of that Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus record. Sounds like you had a good time digging with the nephew. Moving is the worst. Cheers!

Did you drive a truck to bring all of these albums home. How fun to do this with your nephew. I have never heard of Earthless before. That was a huge day.

Steve, yes very blessed to share vinyl madness. I am thankful on the score for sure. Even the wife said that looks like a lot of records when I got home. I didn’t need a big truck for the haul, but I will for the move. I almost wanna move the house then do a dedicated trip just for the music room. Peace ☮️ the Zonkman

That Spirit album is very good. I have great records that are analog and digital. I have a feeling the analog snob’s arguments will soon be outdated. Digital technology continues to improve.

Pat, how’s it going? I don’t know why I passed on Spirit for so long. The VC was patient waiting for me to come around. I love stoner doom so Psychedelic and space rock was the foundation. I can get into anything that’s trippy, new and old. Thanks for stopping by and hanging out. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman

Unfortunately it was missing the 45. I didn’t know it had one originally until looking it up in discogs. Hiroshima is great to discover any their records.
