I found that most if not all antique stores have multiple copies of the same things. I even scour them out of state and find the same things. Same with record stores, and have to get my titles online because they don't have them, simple ones too. A collector told me years ago that collecting is all about having to keep looking. I suppose he's right...

Here's another possible reason for the renewed popularity of Bobbie Gentry's "The Delta Sweete." One song from the album, "Reunion," was played in season two of "Fargo." I wasn't familiar with the song from back in the day, but after hearing it on Fargo, it instantly became a favorite. It's one of the most unique songs I've heard and can't think of any other song like it. I've added the Mercury Rev album to my want list.
@VinylHunter2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, interesting! I've watched season two of Fargo, but can't remember any songs. Speaking of season two of Fargo, Hanzee is the brother of an old friend of mine! Pretty cool because he was the baddest badass in the whole season!

Another great collection of finds... especially the Moxy and UFO. That Abba comp is my favorite of theirs and is really all most people would need. People probably went through that first stack and saw the usual suspects, then didn't look at the others. Thanks for showing the outside of the buildings first, it adds such a perspective.
@VinylHunter2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! Moxy turned out to be pretty cool...we just listened to some last night at my brothers. Yeah, I'm still developing how these videos are going to look...showing the outsides of buildings was one that i fortunately started doing immediately...now I'm starting to show the town name and date to give even more perspective...and I'm even considering showing the towns on maps...When i started doing this type of video recently, i had NO idea how they were going to look...i was just winging it...flying by the seat of my pants...Now I'm getting some pretty good ideas, so they'll be improving in the future.

How ironic that just after the Philadelphia Eagles playoff game today, I randomly pick and see this video where you talk about being a fan of them. Looks like they got some rioting going on now outside and I was just listening to Philadelphia PD on a scanner app and man they are busy trying to take care of what's going on out there. But the Eagles won :-) I'm not 100% through with your video yet but I know I saw a Zebra album in there. I've been looking for a copy of that and some of their other albums at my local record store but they just haven't had it yet. At least not when I can get by there. Wow, until I saw the vinyl crusade poster, I didn't realize how much you resemble Harrison Ford in his younger years, I guess the search for the new Indy is now over. Did you find the holy grail this time? Great UFO albums and those Scorpions album are also on my "need to get" list. I used to have "In Trance" with the non-air-brushed version of the cover, but, sadly, I had to sell it, but I did get a great price for it. Love early Scorpions. The song "Drifting Sun" is so powerful. Wow, I'm glad you mentioned Mercury Rev and their Delta Sweete homage. I love Mercury Rev and I don't hear much about them in the VC.
