Hell even it is more reliable for gaige just shoot the ground and hoping the bounce hit the enemy, this is super useful for flying enemy Why i know this? I foolishly use gaige for fighting flying enemy, in max anarchy, using sniper rifle, its pretty shameful when you use sniper rifle to snipe them, mid range, and still miss for a near whole magazine

Axton is my favorite. I go for a survivability build. Double shielded turrets placed close together let's me stay in the overlapping shields for maximum protection. I prioritize health regen and shield capacity.

I never played a Borderlands game before and started BL2 with Zer0 because of his playstyle. I can see where you're getting at, there were times that I felt that I'm very weak as a character and died a lot. But over time I learnt how to utilise his skills (and also I absolutely wreck with the sniper).

Lmao I picked Zer0 for my first playthroug without knowing anything about the game mechanics nor the fact that BL is more of a team game than a solo one, and I did all of the story solo because none of my frieds play the same games as I. I'll admit it was difficult, but I mastered this magical strategy I call "run away and hide". I used Zer0s cloaking ability whenever I was in a pinch and then I could easily just ambush bandits etc. from behind after a little break. He is fun to play as tho, so I would recommend him if someone is up for a little challenge.

Krieg was so fun to play, I did melee from nvhm-tvhm which avoided a ton of farming for loot and whilst still feeling pretty powerful (slag wasnt nessecary at all). Moving to uvhm, I went into bloodsplosion build. As a person who never tried bloodsplosion before, it was like ecstasy. Seeing crowds of enemies drop like flies and bosses's health bars dissapear was amazing

One thing I'd like to point out about Maya: if you get the life tap skill, you can basically become unkillable as her. This depends on the weapons and other gear you have (of course) and while it does require the need a kill to trigger the perk, if you can save weaker enemies till you need to kill them, that could save you for a while. I've also noticed that even with facing enemies around my level (72) cloud kill still helps substantially. Maybe its effectiveness goes down through out the Op levels, but I haven't gotten there yet.

I decided to go with Gaige on my solo run, mainly with the idea that deathtrap can draw enemy attention away from me (which he actually does) while I pick off from a safe distance as support, or leave deathtrap to clear one area while I clear another. It’s worked so far for my kind of play style.

I disagree that Zer0's skill is "Just a cloaking" and has been "Done before" - the stacking damage bonuses that Zer0 gains while remaining cloaked give him a risk/reward type of play where you want to stay in Decepti0n for as long as possible to maximize burst damage, but makes you run the risk of the the enemy walking away from your perfectly lined up killshot. It's a type of gameplay that is very unique to Borderlands. Similarly, MMF revolutionizes his action skill in a melee build, allowing him to stay cloaked for much longer periods of time while still balancing the risk/reward of maximizing DPS and the number of thrown decoys.

A category you forgot: Hardest character to level. You kind of touched on it by mentioning some are easier to play at endgame, but it really is a category by itself. Maya is phenomenal as a first time character because she is easy to master at any stage, Gaige has phenomenal DPS starting from very early in the game, and Axton has a ton of good damage boosts and aggro relief similar to Maya, where Sal doesn't really shine until he has infinite gunzerk, melee Krieg suffers until he gets RtB, and until melee Zer0 gets MMF he can have a pretty difficult time.

There's a certain strategy to playing Axton. You have to think about the life and ability of your turret, where the enemies are, the design of the battlefield. You start thinking more strategically about where to best place your turret and yourself, and you end up choosing upgrades based on that play style. If you like distance, longbow. If you like offense, rocket pods. If you like defense, phalanx shield.

No one class is the best. They all have unique abilities that makes them the best in their own way. Salvador is considered the best. He is very op. He doesn't go down that often. But that's only when you're rocking a harold most of the time. Salvador is an absolute pain in the ass to level up. Axton is the best speedrunner. What? Yeah, you read that right. Even in UVHM, he is one of the faster times. He can kill his own turret for damage and speed. He may not be strong, but he's fast. Maya is nowhere as good as Sal, but that's because she's not meant to be a raid bosser. She's a support class. She can revive people from any point in the map as long as she has a direct line of sight with them. Maya and Axton are the best leveling experiences I've ever had. Zer0. Very high melee. Able to have enemies go after him, rather than his team mates. He can make a decoy. He can do burst damage. He can debuff enemies so that they take 20% more damage or even more. Krieg. He's literally insane. He's a giant tank of damage. He isnt the best raider. But if you throw him in an arena with a Grog and a flame of the Firehawk, bosses aren't really gonna be able to kill him. Great support class in its own right. Gaige is in the same vein as Sal. Gaige is a damage dealer. She doesn't have much team synergy. The only synergy she has is the shield regeneration from deathtrap. Also Zer0 has B0re, which is pretty hilarious. Just instakill Hyperius with any gun in the game. So those are my thoughts on the video.

In Borderlands as a whole( and TPS, I LOVE playing Jack the Doppelganger. Great and fun skills, his Action Skill is my 2nd favorite, and his personality is amazing just because he is very similar (in some dialogue) but has his own personality. In BL2, it's a tie between Salvador and Krieg. Both characters are fun and powerful, and has the best dialogue. Playing as a midget who is using 2 guns while screaming/insulting at the top of my lungs is just hilariously fun. For Krieg, he's funny and , like Sal, his dialogue is amazing. Playing as a maniac screaming at the top of his lungs about shit trains and bicycles made of meat is just beautiful.

Skill trees: 1. Maya: Elemental guns are my favorite things about Borderlands and Maya's skill tree takes direct advantage of that. I know this vid is about Solo but support Maya is also very fun as well. 2. Gaige: Anarchy makes her OP AF. Her shock damage is great too, as not many enemies are resistant to shock. 3. Krieg: Diverse play styles between melee, and fire. Fire is fun but there are tons of enemies resistant to it. Sure you can build him to use any element but he won't be as effective as Gaige with Shock or Maya with Corrosive and Slag. 4. Salvador: His gunlust tree only has 2 interesting skills (Moneyshot and No kill like Overkill.) his brawn tree just makes home durable, but his rampage tree is what makes him interesting. Taking direct advantage of gunzerking making it last longer, to doing more damage, to firing faster the longer you hold the button. You also may as well have infinite bullets when going down that tree as well. 5. Zer0: He's got good skills but Sniping and Melee do not work well together. Making end game Zer0 kind of a gimp character. Whereas everyone else benefits going down all 3 trees, Zer0 only benefits going down 2. Versatile sure but part of the fun of Borderlands is finding builds that work, with end game Zer0 I just feel like I'm wasting points. 6. Axton is just a standard FPS character. Nothing super interesting about him.

I’ve found Legendary Engineer Axton has a great ebb and flow to the combat, I use Gemini turrets with the double gun slag rounds and I love setting up crossfires and using the turrets defensively with the shield. You barely have to worry about slagging enemies with two turrets rapidly slagging enemies, tho I do enjoy using my slag Baby Maker and completely obliterating whole areas with a Meteor Shower Grenade mod. In between the chaos, I’m precisely shooting heads with a seraphim :3

I have not been playing this game that long and started with BL2. I started with Axton for about 3 levels then tried the gunzerker for 3 or 4. I really tried making zero work for me but could not get the hang of it with his cloak thing.. it is more of a tactcal tool. Maya though.. I LOVE her special skill. I have spent every badass coin on leveling her elemental damage and it works with her skill. I love casting a purple ball of corrosives at a biggun and and torquing them up with a Malawan. I have a long way to catch you guys, not even lvl 20 yet.

Gaige is my favorite character as well I got with her alone around 2.5k hours. What is actually OP on her are the anarchystacks, combine this with aoe weapons and she becomes the best character for mobbing. The mobbing build is simple: Norfleet, Hive, Badaboom and Grog

I love Zero due to his 80% amplify damage combine it with slag now you amplified 480% damage for your team to easily kill a raid boss. Plus, the critical damage stacking is amazing and his deception skill is cool for distracting the dragons or Terramorphus.

Action skill: 1. Sal. Yeah we've seen dual wielding before but not typically like this. Sal also regens health and ammo making his action skill the most favorable for run and gun types. It can be specced to last longer the more you kill and can have an aggro pulling function. You can also dual wield anything unlike most FPS's and with the crazy loot of Borderlands you can come up with some unique combos. 2. Krieg: An alternative to an aggressive play style. Krieg is so god damn powerful at mobbing. Possibly even better than Sal. But he loses to Sal overall because Sal takes advantage of the guns he finds where as Krieg puts them away and pulls out an axe, making the whole loot aspect of Borderlands less interesting. However its still really fun. 3. Zer0: Cloaking is always useful and fun. But I particularly love going the melee route and trying to stay cloaked as long as possible. Its super satisfying killing an army of enemies without them ever seeing you. 4. Maya: We actually have seen this before in the Mass Effect series. It is fun but I feel like its less involved than Sal, Krieg, and Zer0, probably because it's more of a defensive skill where as Sal and Krieg's are offensive and Zer0's is both. In Co op Res is Damn useful. 5. Axton: Low because you drop a turret and that's all you do. After that you are at the mercy of the there's AI. Not that much fun. 6. Gaige: Similar to Axton but even less involvement. With Axton you at least have to decide where to place the turret, with Gaige you literally summon and forget about it.

Axton is my favorite as well. I like him because he's like the only character that more like a classic FPS and has more skills that improve overall his stats instead of focusing on one specific stat also the turrets can be used for quicker second wind and cover. idk but for me I feel like he is the best for beginners.

Gaige's deathtrap is head and sholders superior to axton's turret. It can deal more damage, endure more punishment, MOVE and finally it has a better cool-down. Combine all of that with the bff tree perk to give DT your shield and a terra shield and DT can wipe out entire areas all on his lonesome.

Me with Zer0 in early had a problem with ammo, also bosses with no critical points are really hard. And if you are not in a right position, you can die easily. And also, you cant aim while dying, so really hard to revive. I always have to bring something broken as a rocketlauncher even having full oneshot build. Also, in some DLC's like Hammerlocks, enemies have no critical point so even them are hard and I have to bring a submachinegun to kill them faster without spending like 10 bullets of sniper on them

Axton really isn't the hardest to play solo. I've gone through every character, except Salvador. Axton's fairly consistent in difficulty throughout the game. Zero and Gaige get pretty difficult solo after a certain point.

I love having a 450 anarchy Gaige just shooting a shotgun non stop with bullets ricocheting everywhere, lol. The first time I could complete a tier 5 of a dome was thanks to that ability.

Would you consider doing one of these for the pre-sequal? That game never gets enough love, being slightly less good that Borderlands 2 is still really amazingly good! Also I like Maya because she is flexible, she can do just about anything from crowd control, slagging, healing, sniping, run and gun... Only downside is that she doesn't really have any truly broken endgame builds besides BeeHawking which is decent on everyone.

wut? maya is far ahead as a support character. when i had bl2 on pc, i used to be in a group of 4 that played the same character but in different roles - soldier, sniper (me), heavy and medic/engineer. maya is the most playable character party we had, because of her medic tree

Once you get Sharing is Caring and Make it Sparkle for Gaige, Deathtrap becomes an absolute monster if used correctly. Slap on a Hide of Terra or a Black Hole while charging him with any element useful for that situation (shock for stalkers, corrosive for loaders, you get the idea), and he just destroys everything. Upshot Robot works even better since it means as long as he doesn't run out of health, he'll be active semi-permanently :o

My first play through I used zero and found him to be quite difficult to play with in the early game. So much so that I switched to maya around level 17 and was able to quickly level up and surpass where I was in game with zero in only a couple hours. I eventually beat the game with maya and am now playing through again in true vault hunter mode.

I've always enjoyed a majority of the characters with only Axton not being as fun for me (while still actually being fun of course, borderlands is good with having all characters being at least decent for most players) but Gaige has always been my favorite ever since getting the Handsome Collection, just being able to progressively stack anarchy and get an insane boost in damage is just so satisfying and being able to just bounce bullets off walls and between enemies (Close Enough and Nth Degree) is just awesome, Deathtrap while it isn't the best I usually like to use as an extra distraction shield to keep my Bee up to even further just damage blast through everything

Easiest to Hardest 1. Krieg: Simply because he is the least gear dependant class and people have actually done gearless Krieg runs. 2. Sal: Gunzerking both increases his DPS and durability. Give his off hand a Slag weapon and you'll have a super easy time. 3. Gaige: Anarchy+Richoceting bullets bypasses the accuracy penalty. Richoceting bullets takes a penalty in damage but the bonuses of Anarchy far outweigh the penalty. Give her a shot gun and watch everything die. 4. Maya: Things are sure easy to kill when they aren't moving.That and Cloudkill is OP on normal. 5. Axton: Just underwhelming. 6. Zer0: Zer0 is at the bottom because his skills actually require YOU to ACTUALLY be good at the game. Every other character alleviates the need of skill whether it be Krieg or Sal's strong durability or the lack of needing to aim with Maya or Gaige. But if you ain't good at getting Head shots than Zer0 is gonna suck for you. He's also the squishiest of all the Vault Hunters.

Liam Home as is with all characters. I play krieg with nothing but grog nozzle and very strategic skills that round up to badass mode and blood splosion. Zer0, you do have to try alot. And i mean alot but even with my modded zer0 i cant catch a break in OP8. OP8 is just a dificulty setting for skilled and experienced players like you or myself. Zer0 is easy in comparing to the other characters at OP8 because he can become alot of things, and if you do it right he is unstoppable.

Salvador is my favorite Mobbing and Raid Bossing Character in Borderlands 2. My secondary character is Zer0 and and my Backup Character is Krieg. From most to least Salvador (Hoarder and Gunzerker) Zer0 (Sniper) Krieg (Hellborn) Maya (SMG) Gaige (Anarchy) Axton (Grenade) But thank you for sharing your opinion!

Deathtrap is in my opinion the most fun action skill and by far superior to Axtons turrets. First of all it is possible to have this action skill in use for the whole time you are on a map as long as you have the right skills and you gain 10 secs of duration per kill, allowing him to share youre shield with him is also unique and can lead to extremly strong combinations. As DT is a very good distraction it is possible to have a good cover while shooting with anarchy powered shots. The anarchy Infinity combo is also highly recommended as it provides easy to farm gear with the infinity from Doc Mercy and The Bee from Hunter hellquist or Trents in tiny tinas Assault on Dragon Keep. the only disadvantage on this setup is you would need a neutral necromancer mod to make up for lighter faster better but it can come in handy with the increased firerate combination too. Skills like 1,2 boom are also extremly powerful and equal to the damage of most grenades with higher range and glare is an extremly powerful fireattackskill. the biggest disadvantage for Deathtrap however is his not so smart AI and some bugs but on the other hand he is absolutely usefull for Gaige while using Anarchy. I allways have to choose which merc I want to play next but overall It ends up with the same 3 Gaige on top than Maya and Zero behind those two. Next would be Krieg than Salvador and Axton last as he is by far the worst of all with nothing I really considder to be fun to play.

No no, don't get me wrong. They're all really fucking good. Maya was actually the one I played first too, being that Lillith was my home slice in the first game. But Zer0 is just so satisfying to play, running around unseen by the enemy, killing them one by one until none are left. When it works it's so great. It is kinda garbage against most of the bosses though.

I like Axton and Maya for solo and co-op, but do split time with Krieg and zero for the insane melee damage. My first character was zero who is fun but also frustrating simply due to his glass like resilience. I have a lvl 30 started gaige who came with a hot button lady fist,. Close enough and anarchy are crazy one shot kill skills
