Hey guys, back with one more video before Borderlands 3 comes out, and today, I figured I could wrap up my final of the 3 Tier lists for Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel! and today and rank all 58 of the Legendaries present in Borderlands 1 Remastered/GOTY Enhanced! in this video, I'll be giving you guys my Borderlands 1 Legendary Tier list and will be going over all 52 or so of the Original Borderlands 1 Legendaries in addition to the newly added 6 Gearbox Legendaries that appear in Borderlands 1 Remastered/GOTY Enhanced!

Way too many games after 2010 decided to crank the numbers into the millions and billions when it got retarded fast. And the two thousands and numbers were in the thousands and maybe hundreds of thousands occasionally and then the 90s the numbers were in the hundred and then the 80s numbers didn't get past the tens. Diablo 3 is a good example of how retarded games have gotten.

I think the Hellfire belongs in S tier, it's literally the 2nd best smg in the game, behind the double anarchy. It Disintegrates flesh enemies health and even shreds the crimson Lance.

It’s always been my favorite, my friend and I are just starting play through two , at the first weapon shop in the campaign like fyrestone or whatever the spelling is, I managed to find a hellfire in the item of the day for only 230k. Snatched it up, then not even an hour later got another one out of a chest. Now me and my boyo got two hellfires to run the rest of the game in style!

I'd say the tsunami would the be weakest out of the 3, A double Anarchy with 13.8 Firerate, 200+ damage and a perfect mercenary mod would have more potential to be more powerful than the hellfire but overall, these 3 SMGs are amazing

@@spimbles yes it does for starters in bl1 you can use a good weapon for at least 10 levels wereas in bl2 2 levels later a blue gun is about as 'bad' as a white one would be. That doesnt mean however that it makes it easy to get good gear all the time in bl1 as theres a much higher variety in guns (everything else like granade mods, class mods, shields have better variety in bl2) than in bl2 so youre not gonna see an upgrade to your favorite weapon type in bl1 for about 10-15 levels most likely. Like is said in bl2 a 2 levels higher white might be an upgrade to a bad parts blue so that not only sums up the scaling but the loot system differences as well. Bl1 imo is much better but to each their own i guess.

I like to think that the Dracon can be A tier if you pair it with Roland. Having over 300 shots before you need to reload and a decent fire proc chance makes it hard to beat. Also, a Bastard paired with Roland, especially a Shattering variant is terrifyingly powerful. I suggest trying these personally.

2 things: 1)its true that BL1 legendaries drop with higher frequency 2) if I want a Hellfire in BL1, I have no specific place or enemy to farm for it. All I can do is hope it world drops. In BL2, I murder Scorch til she coughs it up. In BL1, u build around the gear you find. In BL2, u can farm specific gear to fit your desired build, for the most part. BL1, whatever drops...drops. I wish BL1 guns could import to BL2. I hope BL3 satisfies like I imagine BL1 guns in BL2 gameplay would

In my opinion, Vinylic highly overestimates the Hivemind. While it's high-end base damage, above average fire rate and burst fire is kind of Powerful. It is far from S tier. You can easily hurt or even put your character in fight for your life if you fire near yourself. Even if this was not a problem, it would barely be a borderline A tier. I'd give it a B tier at best.

I have used the Hive Mind and it shreds hard but it is extremely dangerous to use I actually sell it whenever I get it with Brick because I fear that I will down myself more than I can kill enemies. I prefer the Mongol because I can stay as far back as possible and get a massive amount of damage done without being in the blast radius.

A max fire rate Hellfire (13.5 I believe) is definitely the best gun in Borderlands. It's beyond OP and can basically act as your primary weapon regardless of character (although Lilith is absolutely broken with it). It literally melts enemies.

@@MaxiemumKarnage would'nt some of the others do more "damage per shot" ? aka technically the rhino? if you count "theoretical single target damage per shot" i think some crits (maybe bessie, maybe masher unforgiven) might reach higher single target damage. edit: sorry, had to open the video for the full comment train. if "no acc required" is your measure, then sure, the hellfire is a damn beast, since you dont even need to crit, even hitting the little toe will add a firetick. else i will stand by my comment, if you CAN aim, there are better options out there (skill independent) and even if you cant aim, there are some other options out there (though skill/build dependent) that rivals the hellfire. edit, fixed the strange "cant" in the second sentence).

Nidhogg > Hive Mind as Brick Nidhogg has potentially more damage per "rocket" and has better ammo economy. It is what I'd call a sniper-launcher for its good accuracy and capability of taking out enemies at distances where you're harder to hit (airburst detonation) Hive Mind, despite its incredible damage in a short amount of time, is negated by its accuracy and incompatibility with ammo regeneration mods and skills AFAIK.

I find the Pestilence Defiler and the Combustion Hellfire to be the ultimate best, especially when carried together. Farming Knoxx is made easy, use either intil you come up against a chem or pyro enemy and use the oppositeagainst it. A good PD makes light work of Knoxx.

Hi Vinylic, I just started to play Borderlands 3 yesterday and I found some Children of the Vault weapons. I really don't understand how to use them since they keep overheating on me and then don't work for a really long time. Personally I would bump up the Cobra, at least to the same tier as the Orion. It has meh accuracy and fire rate, but the damage per shot it has is insane, especially with higher procs. The Orion has higher fire rate, magazine, and a very situational splitting effect, but it suffers a lot from its unique proc behavior, based on my testing. Basically, elemental weapons in BL1 have the EDM and WPM, and the damage of a proc is based on those. Shock has a EDM of 100%, but the Orion has a WPM of just 1 on all procs. Explosive has an EDM of 150%, the Cobra has WPM's of 1/1.5/2/? and a notably higher base damage, making it much more lethal overall. The Orion is still great, but the burst damage it's capable of is limited compared to the Cobra, and it is horribly ammo inefficient.

@@calsalitra4689 I do know that the cobra has amazing damage and is absolutely lethal against fleshy enemies like skags and bandits , but do you understand the true power of the Orions ricochet ability? 3 extra projectiles are made with it. Each with the same amount of damage as the Orion, tripling it's damage. However, if you shoot an Orion at an enemy there's a decent chance that both the original projectile and the ricochet ones can all hit. Doing 4x the damage!

@@techwiz7947 Isn't it the case that the Orion only ricochet's when it hits solid objects, not enemies? Although you can still hit the initial proc and 3 bullets which is still 7/8 (since 4 bullets and 4 procs) of the full damage, which is really close. Also, I guess I should probably be quiet about the Orion for now since I've only really played BL1 on console, where its a lot harder to hit ricochet's. I also tend to play a lot of Brick so my opinion of the Cobra is maybe just a little exaggerated, since Brick has enough raw power to one-shot most common enemies with the Cobra, even with his weaker Warmonger class mod.

@@techwiz7947 Having tested the Orion against Lance, I'll have to stick with my original opinion that the ricochet is only situationally useful. Bullets only split when they hit a solid object (not enemies), so if you want to benefit from the extra bullets, you have to aim at the ground. However, the angle required to hit humanoid enemies and the wide spread of the split bullets forces you into point blank range for the extra bullets to hit, and the time spent getting into range could have been spent just shooting them normally. Similar issues apply to most enemies. The split usually just isn't worth the effort (Larva, most Skags, most humans, most Spiderants, Scythids, Guardians, etc.). The only enemy that the Orions ricochet will be useful against are Alpha Skags, especially Badasses, since they're tanky enemies that naturally engage you in close combat that are large enough for the spread to reliably hit them. To be fair that is a very valid use case with how Alpha Skags tend to be, and the Orion itself is a fantastic weapon against everything the ricochet isn't good against, but the ricochet can hardly be the "true power" of the weapon when it has so few enemies it works against. I'll give the Orion a shot against Badass Spiderants as well, since the split should have some use against them. EDIT: As expected, the Orions ricochet is very useful against Badass Spiderants. Being effective against Badass Skags and Badass Spiderants is a very valid use case, but its poor utility against most humanoid enemies relegates the ricochet to situational usefulness, despite the DPS potential when all shots hit.

I respectfully disagree with the Revolution having a higher rank than the Raven simply because the former has terrible stats in favor of a large magazine size, while the Raven with good parts can offer excellent base damage, accuracy, fire-rate, and magazine size. Then again, your mileage may vary.

I am getting incredible mileage out of my Raven compared to my Revolution. My Raven has the highest damage I've ever seen on any other Raven, and my Revolution is exactly as described, 104 relatively weak rounds, but the Raven I use, lethal weapon if you know what you are doing. 2 bullets really do make all the difference

I love BL1 Hellfire. Stuck the Hellfire in Willowtree.. Changed its parts..after dozens of drops giving me crappy parts. (I like HX440 C) yep, absolutely OP now...BUT Then change weapon type to scorpio (remove brand+limitations that go with brand) Gave it a B*tch barrel ..and a Saviour body (for ammo regen) now its gotta be the most stupidly OP weapon short of the 1 hit (232142423 damage) weapons.

So are Legendaries and Pearls the only types of weapons worth looking for? I've been keeping an eye out for better purple base guns and each element of certain types (i.e. strong fire, shock, and Defiler revolvers or shock, acid, Cobra, and Volcano snipers), but is it better to ignore normal guns and stick to the best of each element in C+ tier Legendaries? (i.e. Defiler/Crux, Firehawk/Hellfire, Orion, and Unforgiven/Ogre)

anarchy & wrath are two lilith weapons that are purple. for other weapons there are TMPs&mashers for repeaters, there are shotguns and lmg, basically, every guntype has a purple peak weapon than can outperform ALL legendaries with the right build. well, maybe the ajax ogre just tops it, but in general. watch joltzdude or other that actually know how to play borderlands 1 and you will get different results. ;) VPG has literally no idea what hes talking about most times. too much usage of gib, too little understanding of the game.

Basically, the entire game felt like I was working with crippled weapons and it wasn't until halfway through playthrough 2 that they started getting good enough accuracy, range, recoil, and firerate stats to feel like normal AR's and snipers in COD or Halo. I liked the progression of stats, but accuracy was not something I ever want to see that horrible for that long in any other game. Felt like I was hipfiring when I always ADS every shot. But I was seeing those weapons you mentioned competing late game with the Legendary AR's and SMG's.

I'm having a helluva time getting any legendary drops. I just completed an entire playthrough with Roland and I came up with 2 legendaries. The Volcano and I got a lame repeater that I never use. IDK if its just me or if this is normal for BL1.

That’s crazy. I just finished Mad Mel quest on play-through 2. Having to guess, I’d say I’ve gotten somewhere around 20 legendary so far. There were a couple in vending machines that I passed up. I did play through the Knoxx content after beating play-through 1 which definitely accounted for 3 legendary (all the same combat rifle, can’t remember name), and possible 1 or 2 more. Most importantly I have not farmed, aside from a few vending machine runs if that counts. That sucks man. Maybe you aren’t thoroughly searching around for weapon crates when you play? I don’t know.

Even still, the chances of finding a purple that is better than a lot of legendaries is high in BL1. I love that about it. Many of my favorite weapons are purple.

In my opinion they all suck. At least so far..I’m on play-through 2. Put a couple hundred hours into BL1 back in the day (no DLC though) but I can’t really remember what I thought of it 12 years ago lol. It’s mainly the recharge mechanic for me that makes them all shit.

Just get the GOTY version, as it is SO MUCH better locked at 60fps and the quality of life improvements as far as inventory management make the game so much more enjoyable. Its a serious improvement. You will not be disappointed.

Yeah, Double Thanatos Gunslinger is insane. The Double Thanatos has high-end damage output, huge magazine size, and its relatively low fire rate compared to Vladof is irrelevant, since Gunslinger with Relentless active can reach a fire rate of 30 anyway. Easily Mordecai's best mobbing option.
