Personally I think it's their best work. Nothing tops Ok Computer, but something about this one seems like Kid A/Amnesiac was the beginning of their chrysalis and this is what they've finally honed themselves into.

A Moon Shaped Pool is incredible. I think it's a little heady for the masses, so it didn't catch on like In Rainbows or OK Computer. But it's on par with those two record for sure, in my opinion.

Just knowing the context behind daydreaming and true love waits hits you so much harder i mean he originally wrote true love waits in 95 when he and his wife first started dating its a lot more upbeat with its guitar check out that version btw if you haven't but it represents a young guy falling in love with this whole career in front of him this newer version has it dark pianos and sombre tone represent not only his wife's passing but shows his life in a way hes no longer a young kid hes now a middle-aged man with most of his best years behind him his children are teens his fans are now getting older as well its truly beautiful how it truly transitions. But johnny greenwood is also amazing that piano though gets me to tears every time.

I'm so happy someone else loves this album as much as me. This is easily Radiohead's equal best album along with OK Computer. I don't understand why it isn't as highly rated as OK Computer and Kid A by fans. The atmosphere is unlike anything I've heard before and is so beautiful and sad at the same time.

I agree with you. In fact, in my opinion, this is their magnum opus. It's probably less recognized because it's a relatively new album compared to OKC and Kid A and just needs a few more years under its belt. Maybe also because of the overall lack of faster paced songs. Slow burners like this one require a patient audience.

I’m a huge Radiohead fan and have been since 97. This album though passed me by a little for some reason. 2016 was a busy year for me and so I neglected listening to this record. But this reaction, this listening session was a great gift to me because your love of the record made me listen to it again, properly and wow, I haven’t felt this way since listening to Kid A 20 years ago. Thank you for understanding their music and showing tremendous empathy for how much Radiohead fans love their art.

You mentioned Steve Reich. Steve Reich and Jonny Greenwood have crossed over musically before. Greenwood performed Reich's Electric Counterpoint live and in studio. Steve Reich returned the favor by composing his piece Radio Rewrite which is a sort of reworking of two Radiohead songs. Just FYI.

As I've gotten older I think my appreciation for this album has increased exponentially. I liked it from the first listen, of course...but I think this is my favorite Radiohead release now. It's a difficult listen, at times so emotional I can hardly get through it.

I love your reaction to Daydreaming. My mother passed away almost 2 years ago, I was living in Barcelona at the time with my partner. I knew this album before, but after her passing, the album (and Daydreaming in particular) hits super hard now. My partner and I watched the music video for Daydreaming in our shitty rented flat while I was grieving my mother, and all we could do was cry in silence while watching the beauty of this song. The album is one of the best pieces of art I've experienced.

Thanks for doing this, finally got around to watching. I subbed to you a few years ago. I think this album is Radiohead fully grown up. Pablo honey got their foot in the music industry door, the bends gave them a bit of license..ok computer made them kings, then they could tell the music industry that they were now doing what they liked. I feel this album was always in them, they just had to get the evolution right and we as fans had to evolve with them. Loved your reaction to this, it is a masterpiece. It almost takes you by the hand and leads you to the door of classical music.

I love the other radiohead albums, but this is probably the best album in my opinion. The most stunning and intricate composition that brought me to a journey of smiles, tears, confusion, anger all emotions condense in an album. It also holds an air of mystery which is so chilling and exhilarating. Some songs you can also move and dance to. So difficult to say which is my favorite song in this album because every song has its own personality that you can sync into. The quality of the production, oh man, I'm no expert but i can hear a lot of depths and details in the recording. ugh I wished I watched this reaction session live with you all. The Numbers was instantly my favorite off the record as well. This record is amazing. Although it's not in my Top 10 anymore, due to finding music I like a bit more, when it came out, it was my favorite album. Now Tinker Tailor Soldier Sailor is my favorite off the album.
