I have this camera and I'm currently using the Viofo 512GB micro SD card. My assumption for the discrepancy is how it's easy to change information on the website, while it's not easy to recall all the products on the market to replace the instruction manual. Just pay attention to the firmware updates and read all the changes with regards to it. Thanks for the review. Very informative.

I’m likely going to try this one. It’s not so expensive that if it fails I won’t worry too much. I’m going to hardwire it only because some people have said that without hardwiring it it may fail to save the last video it recorded. I suspect this is a failure of the capacitor or internal battery causing the shutdown procedure to corrupt the last file. That could be a problem if you have an accident and that last file is corrupted.

It's a good dashcam, just make sure to install the latest firmware when you get it

Has the boot delay improved from the A119 V3 in terms of faster boot up? The A119V3 takes about 10 seconds to boot up. We noticed there was an almost instantaneous boot up on the A119 Mini 2 when you clicked on it. The 'shade' as you make mention is referred to as the "Frit".

I got stuck. When I turned it on it started recording immediately - without my even being aware if it was formatted. Next, I pressed Menu but nothing happened. Apparently, you a stop recording by pressing Record again? Nobody said that. Also the WiFi connection failed as did use of the App, which you do not cover. I am using an updated model. Edit 2 months later. I got it all working now the windshield glue has failed. Viofo wants detailed purchase info to send me a replacement pad.

You will need to upgrade to the latest software. Viofo site will show you how to do it and where to find the download.

If you use a low-quality micro-SD card, the card will overheat. Otherwise, it works fine. I've been using it for a couple of months now with a Samsung Endurance Pro Micro-SD card and no problems of overheating whatsoever.
