Viofo A329 vs Viofo A229 Pro dash cam daytime driving front and rear

Now that I’ve bought it, here are my two cents. I’ve posted a clip recorded by the front dashcam without sound on my channel. I removed the CPL filter because, with a ceramic film on the front window, it caused a birefringent effect that spoiled the footage. The clip I posted appears overly sharpened and processed. If you look closely at the overhead power lines at the start of the clip, you’ll notice white fringes around them. While this level of digital processing might be helpful for reading license plates, I personally prefer the image quality of the A229 that I keep seeing on other KZbin channels, including this one. This is the most expensive dashcam I’ve ever purchased, yet I still favour the footage from the A229-it really stands out compared to other renowned Korean brands. Although I initially bought this dashcam for security, I was also hoping to use it as a mini GoPro for vlogging. At this point, though, I’m generally disappointed with the video quality, but I accept that it serves well as a security camera. Some sunsets in Thailand can unexpectedly look spectacular, and it would be nice to capture a few clips to use for social media from time to time. I posted the same comments on Vortex Radar, as your channel, his, and BlackboxMyCar Dashcam really helped me make a well informed purchase. Thank you for your honest and in-depth reviews.

Its the color temperature [Calvin] that makes the diffrence. 329 is cooler the the 229... if both colortemperatures are the same then there wouldt be another output

A329 makes the video brighter and sharper to catch minute details such as plates slightly and just barely better, this let's the a229 pro look much more pleasing to look at and more properly exposed to record scenic drives etc(evident if u look at the sky and the overall cinematic look the 329 totally lost even though it has the same camera hardware), but tbf almost nobody buys a dashcam to record stuff to actually save as memories so 329 should get the edge as it does its purpose better

I was watching some footage of the 4K 60fps of the A329 and it was specular. The A229 Pro is still good but us dashcam junkies want the best of the best.

Is 60Fps ON for A329? It looks more sharper, grainy and upscaled than the smoother A299P. I hope VIOFO releases updates for the new A329 to change the video to a smoother look like the A229P.

So the problem we will have is the A329 is 60fps. KZbin will not show that though. Because if I upload it at 4k60fps. Then the A229 Pro will look choppy. This is the challenge with comparing 4k 60fps. to other none 4k 60fps dash cameras.

problem with 60 fps is that you have to disable HDR.

@SafeDriveSolutions I don't leave my car parked for more than a day at a time. Not sure how much battery charge that one has but I do intend to use it for overnight parking mode.

@@user-tz4yj2bz8w It will last for a while depending on which mode you put it in for parking mode. It has 12,000mah its the biggest I know of

@@SafeDriveSolutions Also one more question, I have a Nissan Rogue 2023 and was planning to use the Cig Lighter fuse for acc and the Room Lamp for battery power on just the dash cam itself, can those same fuses be used for the battery instead? They're both 20A fuses.

@@user-tz4yj2bz8w I do not know and we typically do not comment specifically on fuses. Your best bet is to stay away from any safety fuses. airbag, srs, brakes, etc.

So I have a 2019 Jeep Wrangler unlimited with a sizable Adaptive Cruise Control box behind the rear view mirror… Would you recommend one of these off to the right side? Or the A139 4k Pro centered below?? Or something completely different??? Thanks

Why does my A229 Pro need to format its SD card every week almost? I feel like thats super often. I have a 128gb card from viofo in it.

You must have your g sensor too sensitive and it nust be locking too many videos
