Thank you for a most inspirational video from a retired 73 year old retired general surgeon in Denmark. I am getting much comfort working with Bachs works in these awful corona times. Hope you are all well.

VIOLA could stand with violin & cello & even with unique middle range that violin & cello could not do. VIOLA PROVE TO THE STRINGS SECTION A SOLO POWERFUL UNIQUE INSTRUMENT MANY MUSICOLOGISTS EVEN IGNORE THIS GREAT VIOLA COULD DO ALL SHOWN IN THIS MASTER CLASS WITH KIM,TEABUA & MiCHEAL.

That moment from 23.00 is just magical. Tabea knows what the student needs and does exactly what it takes to bring our her best.

I love the different approaches, Tabea and Kim are both so musical, I love the esotericism of Kim’s teaching and technical breakdown that Tabea uses.

Isn't she amazing. And having Kim Kashkashian listening and commenting as well, no pressure then!

I think the best accompaniment for Violin and the Viola is the Harp.

What are the pieces the musicians played? Heard something great I don't recognize, but it wasn't introduced...

Nobody ever could ever make the Bartok Concerto sound good... As much as I'd like to like it, it just pains me

@@noahmoment I know you weren't talking to me but for me I don't really like much of the modern style or like very chromatic stuff hard to explain. The person who played in the video is more tolerable to listen to tbh

@@thatsEforEveryone I feel the same way. I guess it's just how I've grown up to classical music or what I prefer playing myself. Maybe it's too sophisticated for me...
