My dad( now departed) fought in Salerno. Always the master of understatement, he said, " It wasn't no picnic." After his death, I found 3 Bronze Stars. My favorite uncle was USMC, taking Pacific islands away from the Japanese one yard at a time. They were truly the greatest generation. I know that they are in heaven now, because they served their time in hell.

Neighbors are neighborly in my neighborhood. Besides the drunk guy who sells pills who ran his girlfriend over in the alley and did 7 years for it. He walks across the street then crosses when he goes past my house.

I`m really starting to notice a common thread amongst all the war heroes. They drank like motherfuckers and hated being alive.

can we keep the swearing to a minimum? I love the idea of this being a kids channel for kids to aspire to be heros
