*SOUND/MUSIC* Following feedback from comments on other videos I tried to lower the music volume on this video and it sounded right after rendering and playing it back on my PC. But after uploading and listening to it from KZbin it sounds too loud still. My apologies! I have tried to better this and I will just need to lower it further and take this into account for future uploads!

@ BYD tang DM 4.3. A monster SUV with 7 seats, 100km electric range and a 2.0 turbo engine in front. all wheel drive and very capable offroad. saved me many times when other cars were hopelessly stuck. i just bought the new SU7 max and gave the BYD to family to drive. but watching your review i am happy to see BYD is still up their game. nicely done mate

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't both the bao 5 and 8 have front and rear diff locks where as the shark is open diffs front and back so these modes wouldn't work as well ? even not compatible with the Shark ?
@BeYonD-EV2 күн бұрын
@@jamesw7224 you are correct but there isn't much info on the update and I haven't seen any info regarding automatic engagement of diff locks etc. by engaging this mode. Only info I've seen is that this mode will apply peak torque from the motors at slow speeds. If it's just that then that is definitely something that could be applied to the Shark. Of course, not going to be as capable as having a diff lock on uneven terrain. But would still be useful for uphill climbs and recovery.
@jamesw72242 күн бұрын
@BeYonD-EV I honestly hope they do, I was 100% sold on the shark but abit concerned with its offroading capabilities as I plan to do abit of off-road/camping with my family and don't want to get stuck somewhere lol this mode would be the icing on the cake on making the decision to buy
@GTRSniper12 күн бұрын
As far as the diff lock goes and having no diff, can't they just program the motors to simply drive together no matter what? That's essentially all a diff lock is anyway.
@user-pp6kw6yl6z2 күн бұрын
@GTRSniper1 my take on it is that the front and rear motors can be driven at the same time, which effectively works similar to a centre diff lock which drives the front and rear together. The shark doesn't have front or rear diff locks, so in a scenario where you have for example rear left and front right wheels off the ground at the same time, the vehicle will not move until brake traction control engages (this brakes the wheel in the air, forcing drive to the wheel on the ground). Land rover have close to perfected brake traction control and pretty much negated the need for front or rear diff locks, so this shows the potential for how good BYD could get it. In my view the biggest built in hardware limitation of a shark is the lack of low gearing for torque multiplication, but I still eagerly await some real world offroad testing in aus to verify its capabilities and limitations.
@GTRSniper12 күн бұрын
I appreciate what you've said. I currently own an amarok which has a diff lock and the best traction control system there is. I just cant see why they can't program the wheels to turn at the same time non stop which would work the same as a diff.

Lets hope BYD do something to fix the Shark 6 because it couldn't even make it up a mediocre small climb when car expert tested it, it just stopped and wouldn't go, completely useless off-road.

Hey Mate, what is going on with all these car reviews with conflicting information. Can someone do a review with the assistants of BYD engineers. So when they say it’s can’t do this and can’t do that, the engineers can assist overcome the perceived problem or they can agree and call it a fact what the reviews are saying.

Black cap, black beard, black sweater, combined with a high contrast grade delivers a stylised look which doesn’t tie in with your content from my perspective. The key light positioned rather low accentuates your cheeks, reminiscent of a chipmunk. I hope you can change your setup.
@BeYonD-EV2 күн бұрын
@@mickjoebills I too feel that way somewhat myself about the stylisation, but honestly I just whipped my set together with what I had on hand and have run with it ever since the beginning. I do agree I need more lights, I'm just using two tiny lights at the moment and they don't fill enough. Appreciate the feedback though, gives me some food for thought!

@@BeYonD-EV I think you need more than a few more lights, garage door backdrop is probably the first thing to change, I don't care what colour clothes you wear that's your choice and makes no difference to the content.

@@BeYonD-EV Your speaking is good, it's clear and concise, if you need notes that's fine. Hint: The music is a bit loud, maybe turn it down a bit when your editing, it's a common mistake most YT make, they they just say to turn your volume down, problem is the music is twice as loud as the commentary bits (as in your case as well) then when you speak, so if we turn it down for the music we have to turn it back up for the talking, it's easier to just move to the next channel.
