The sad thing about folks in this comment section is MOST not all of those laying claim that EF1 is hardly a violent tornado, HAVE NEVER BEEN IN ONE!! Rest assured someone will say “not everyone hasn’t I have!” Despite the fact I said most not all lol I’ve been in 3 and the last one was this past March EF3!

For those of you criticizing...you need to understand that tornadoes don't happen very often at all in New York state. This year there was a record breaking number of tornadoes in the state, 26 in the last month if I remember correctly unless it went up.

Yes, indeed it's a tornado, in its multi-vortex form and many people saw it in clear conditions. It first formed on the Niagara River/Lake Erie as a waterspout. Will it be rated F1 or F2? We shall see.

Thank God that was just a little guy, or it could have been a catastrophe! I actually pass through there every morning on my overnight run between Youngstown and our terminal in Tonawanda (I run Monday night through Friday night, plus I'm on vacation this week), so the area is well familiar to me.
