I don't know why but my left hand pinky straightens out upwards when I play. It becomes stiff and because of that I haven't been able to develop my speed. I think it will be very hard to undo because it seems like I have been doing it for a very long time and I am just realizing it impairs my playing.
@ViolinClassUSA3 жыл бұрын
You are correct. It is very difficult (and time-consuming) to undo very old habits. But, believe me, it is possible -- if you truly do not believe that playing the old way is Not an option.

I have a problem... My hands are too small, that means I can't reach high positions on the violin without leaving the neck. I've been playing for some months without a shoulder rest so I have to move my hand to the shoulder of the violin. The problem is part of the weight is in my left hand. How can I reach high positions without the need to use a shoulder rest?

Have you watch my video Shoulder Rest Or Not? I talk about it there.

Thank you so much , can you make a video about how to play better on violin , because my violin make a bad sound when I play on it .
@lindasensi36565 жыл бұрын
Could you record a movie how to practice Schumann Scherzo to get a fast pace with a clear movement of the bow? There are some movies on KZbin but they are quite similar, I hope that maybe you could bring something new that could help.

For the last four-note sequence; can't it be explained as a note 1 and 4 short, 2 and 3 long (short-long-long-short) rather than starting from the 2nd note, thus adding the complexity of changing the bow on a different note? This way we keep the bow out of the equation.

-- i.e. playing the passage in syncopations. For some, it would also work. For some - it would not. I believe in separating the two hands more and having the brain to work a little harder at times. It is good for us :)
