@@violingardenacademy shifting from the F# on the D string to the F# on the A string, how much should your bow move? I can't find a middle ground between an awkward pause and a slide that's too long.
@ProbiscutIII Жыл бұрын
@@kugelblitz1557 Not much. On shifts like measure 9 it should end a note near the tip of the bow and on the upbow start a new one. Just practice to make it faster and I’m sure you’ll get it in no time! You could also try putting tape or some kind of marker on the notes to help you land on the notes better. Hope this helps.

@violingardenacademy Жыл бұрын
That's great! You can also find this piece in a slow practice tempo on my channel, that might be even more helpful. A tip for the harmonic at the end: Bring your hand to the body of the violin, swing your arm to the D-string position so that fingers are hovering over the string, and then reach with your pinky. You need to draw the bow faster than you think in order for the harmonic to ring. In the beginning, it might be helpful to put a little sticker on the harmonic note to provide more accuracy while your body is memorising the motion. Good luck with it and enjoy your practice!

@violingardenacademyАй бұрын
For the theme you can imagine that each stroke should sound like what a smile looks like, with soft beginnings and endings, and a round deep sound in the middle. Otherwise, you might want to start working on finger extentions in the right hand which will help your sound as well as learning more tricky bowing techniques. I have one video with exercises for that which are very useful - go to my playlist section and "Right Hand Technique". Blessings from Vienna!

You can also find all the pieces in slow practice tempo on this channel and those might be even more helpful at the beginning stage of each piece. A tip for shifting: The most important factor is to release the pressure on the string during the shift. So you play a note with pressure - release the pressure and glide the finger along the string as slowly as you can until you reach the desired note - then apply the pressure again. Also, make sure you hear the goal note in your mind before you reach it! Hope this helps you! With slow practice, anything is possible!!💪🎻🦋

@@violingardenacademy not nearly as bad as it used to be but yeah...it doesn't flow or wave organically as depicted here. @@jensdavidsen4557 I see! I am impressed that you started as an adult and that you are playing pieces this challenging, bravo!
