Alot of those suvs are rentals that have plug in lights for when they're travelling. They just run to the local enterprise and hertz and grab a black suv and throw a light bar on that they pack with them. Its easier and generally cheaper than having 15 extra cars everywhere they go at the agency office.

That's just complete madness. I understand that the traffic's worse than usual because of the General Assembly, but it always looks the same in these kinds of videos. I don't know if it's an American thing or just the NYC thing, but the emergency vehicles are never given the right of way. It's as if they were completely invisible, it's astonishing. Doesn't matter if it's a police car or an ambulance. Emergency corridor? Never heard of that. Someone could be dying in that ambulance and not a single car moves an inch
