Viper 4103 Remote Starter in my 1998 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Hi Ryan. Thanks for your question. I'm thinking it was right around $240 bucks at Best Buy. That was for the remote starter, the install, the hood safety switch.. and the added hardware to add the keyless entry and trunk release to my Police Interceptor.

I had Best Buy install mine.... as far as making the car horn honk when you lock the doors... it has to already do that with some sort of factory alarm the vehicle may have. My Crown Victoria is a Police Interceptor.... and the Police Interceptor model Crown Victoria's don't come with that feature.

I get what you're saying and I totally agree. However. I think for the car to beep.. it has to already beep from the OEM. My car is a Police Interceptor.. and no Crown Vic Police Interceptor I know beeps OEM when it's locked.

Hi Green Royal... sorry it took so long to respond. I just home from work. With everything they did with how I wanted it done.... total bill came out to be $272.16

green royal you are more than welcome. However, just so you know, its been a few years since mine was installed. It still works flawlessly, however, Viper has since replaced the 4103 with a newer model remotr starter. The exact number of the current model, I'm not exactly sure... and pricing may be a little different as well.

1998 Crown Vics got chrome grills and they start calling the police interceptors in the 2000's so im guessing that is not an 98 and I just wanted to see how it really worked on a 98

you are correct. 98s have chrome grills.. but I like the black honey comb grill better. So I removed the chrome grill and put the grill in the car you see in the video. The car is INDEED a 1998. I can give you the VIN number off my car to prove it. 2FAFP71WXWX157469. What do you mean they didn't start calling them the Police Interceptor until the 2000s? I've heard of and seen pre-98 model year Crown Vic Police Interceptors. I can GUARANTEE you my vehicle is a 1998. I have no reason to lie about that.

not to mention.. that at least by year 2000.. the exterior door handles on the Police Interceptor were solid black. You notice my car's exterior door handles are chrome and black. And I know they were solid black by model year 2000.. because I ALSO have a white 2000 Police Interceptor and it's exterior door handles are solid black. You may try to argue about the tail light trim being black as they were chrome in 98. Before that comes up... i'll inform you I changed those out for 2002 model year Sport LX tail light assemblies. The rear fascia.. when I bought the car.. had been replaced for a one with a black trim around the bottom... but yet the tail lights had the chrome trim. I didn't like that look.. and because I had to stick with the amber turn signal style tail light assembly... and I wanted to go with the black trim appearance.. it left me no choice to go with 2002-2004 Sport LX tail light assemblies. The center caps on the rims.. I changed those out, too.. for newer model year center caps. There's many things about my car that is not model year correct.. but still works on the car. I changed many things about the car to make it my own.. both inside and out.
