If you work full-time, yes. You’ll be able to make 4000-5000 US dollars. That’s how I make. For me it will be a little bit higher because I convert it into Canadian dollars.

I admit I am concerned about my age and desirability as an online teacher. Erin, I am one of your big fans and VIPKID teacher. I had 3 1/2 years of teaching. I am totally confused. They took us off the platform and it seemed China didn't want to do business with U.S. teachers. Well, I wen back in and am trying to get some kids booked but to no avail. It seems near impossible to be certified for the trial certificates now! >_< The short notice status can actually be booked up to 60 MINUTES before the class starts (one hour, not two). So... even MORE time to prepare! NOOOPE!

So, I have a 140hr TESOL and an MA and 7 years of ESL teaching and they are offering me 7 per class and Tier 1 ! Based on this I should be offered at least 7,50. Is this something you can negotiate? I haven't signed the contract yet.

I wonder why I'm getting $1.20 incentive per class when I've only taught 3 classes this month... I'm tier 6 or 7 but still- according to the chart everyone only gets 80 cents per class for the first 20. I'm missing something here!

Hi there, I am finishing up my Masters in TESOL with an emphasis in Educational Tech. I'd like to work a part time job online as I finish my studies. I am planning to live with my grandma in Chile, in August, helping her around the house, etc. I'd like to start applying now. Unfortunately, that's what they're hiring people at right now. You could try to reapply, but I don't think you can anymore because they'll search by your SS#.

English isn’t my native language. I do not have a strong accent which is why they’ve accepted me. There are teachers from all over the world where English isn’t their native language. What’s important is that the students are able to understand you.
