Hey man, sorry about the harsh tone while talking about Baldi! The main thing I didn’t like was that it took very little time to establish itself as an old school educational game and kind of just jumps right into the “horror” aspect. That just didn't really feel right to me to be honest. None of the games covered in the video are really my thing at all and the tone was supposed to be more so jokey than informative, even though everything said was still my real opinion. While it's really not for me, an incredibly large amount of people are obviously really into the game so seriously keep it up!

When I played DDLC, I knew what was gonna happen since I spoiled myself to the game via Game Theory (and found out the game was free, instead of costing money like I thought it did). Despite knowing the story, the events in the game were still really effective. That's why I'm a big fan of the game.

Doki Doki also has a whole subgame where you can screw with in game files to do stuff. Like, there's all kinds of secret dialogue you can access by deleting certain files at certain points. If you delete all the "Character Files" before you start the game, the game will just straight up end right then and there. The game opens normally with you waiting for Sayori, and then nothing happens. Then there's some monologue about how your character is trapped and then it crashes

I was brought here by Vannamelon's "Monika Googles Herself" video, which I found in my second stage of looking for DDLC playthroughs, which I used to self-educate in video editing and coding to fill my channel with DDLC compilations and highlight reels, which happened after my first stage of looking for playthroughs simply to see how the game resonated with other people to compare it to my own DDLC playthrough that I went into completely blind. People really don’t know about how much Doki Doki Lit Club fucked with the competitive melee community. Dan Salvato Creator Of the 20XX hack pack (the most popular melee mod at the time) announced he was making a game and that he was gonna announce it soon. The theories ran wild but the consensus from the community was that he was gonna make a new platform fighter by the community for the community. Then he announced DDLC and released it the same day. The community felt like they were slapped in the face. I’m happy for Dan tho, the game blew the fuck up

There's no entitlement there, Dan Salvato was fresh off releasing 20XX Tournament Edition when he announced he made a game studio so he was a game developer that was very prominent in the smash community and really only known in the smash community. His work up to that point was all in the community. That's why we thought he was gonna make something along the lines of a smash clone, it makes a bunch of sense.
