this was really just the best review of this foundation. I think other influencers over-hyped this foundation because they were paid. Now, I'm really giving them the side eye. I really wish I watched this review before buying this foundation.

Dear Maryam, actually this foundation there is a specific way to put it on. Look up on the web. When applying you really need to sheer down the most possible tapping the cushion on the lead that opens. It will deposit there the excess before putting on your skin. And dont press too hard in foundation to avoid also excess product. You put too much of product on your skin and this is way it shows more texture/pores. Really try to apply with cushion in a very smooth and thin layer. I have it and this is how it gives the most beautiful result, no cakey. No mask. Xoo

@@MaryamMaquillage I am shade 23N and it matches me perfectly. But yes not always easy to find right shade/undertone. Actually in your vídeo filming studio light and when you are in natural light with your husband, the foundation Colors looks different. Much better in natural day light. 🥰 Yes defenetly try again in light application. I really see the difference. I have a lot of pores, nose and Cheeks, and it really smoothes my skin. But if i Forget and go a bit heavy handed immediately pores shows more. Sorry for my english is not the best. Lots of love from Switzerland. Xx 😘

The cushion is the most important factor in applying this product in a tapping motion or it wont work well. Lol. It also oxidizes over time. So getting the exact shade will get tricky. I used Soft Beige all over my face and Mocha around the contour of my face and it looked amazing. I’m Filipino so I’m not sure if we’re goin to match, but try it and see. Hope this helps. 😊

Thanks for the review. The brand's cushion makeup was viral in Japan long before it became so here. I don't have a shade because there are very few warm yellow shades (as you mentioned), and none with olive undertones. I bought two sample sets with six of each of the darker shades and still could not find a match. By the way, 'Mask Fit' means it won't rub off on face masks. Robert Welsh's video is the best I've seen using a light application technique.

It took me several tries to find a shade that worked. I’m a neutral undertone as well, but I found that the warm undertone worked best for me. Their neutral is not a true neutral imo! I like the cushion application best because it gave me a smoother application. I found there to be a learning curve to using this foundation. It works best if you start with a lesser amount and really press it into the skin. The first time I pressed the cushion in I ended up with a “mask”, but when I lightly dabbed it and worked it into the complexion in smaller sections I felt I got a more realistic look while giving me an airbrushed effect with long lasting results.

Hi Maryam, I like the 29N on you. It happens to be the same one I use the most. As someone on here said, there is a specific way that it is supposed to be applied if using the cushion it comes with. Personally I find it better using a brush. Seems to be lighter coverage when doing that. Overall I find it does stay on all day. The colors are a little hard to find the right one. I actually purchased a few of these. Recently purchased the silver one and really like that on my mature skin it is better. Thank you so much for doing such a thorough review. Your hubby/partner did a great job helping. He seems to know the terminology. 😂❤

Haven’t used this or another cushion foundation before but I’ve seen a couple of videos that describe the right application method which is leaving some of the product off on the pallet (the bit you open to the side to access the cushion) before you press the cushion to your face. Hope it helps but it seems that’s what gives you a slightly more natural application.

Frankly, I don’t like coverage this heavy over all my face. It’s aging, IMO. That is a personal choice, of course. It just isn’t my preferred aesthetic. I’m not a skin twin, I watch because your honest opinion is one I trust.

I think your review is the most accurate that I have watched because that is exactly what I thought when I wore the foundation. I actually thought, no, this is a fake because the reviews I watched made it seem like it smooths your skin and leaves a glass finish even though it's matte.I don't think it's a good foundation for the dry skin gallies but it wears really great. I think I wanna try the dewy version.

Great video as always! I feel like they did a pretty good job when it came to listening to concerns with the shade range of the OG red. They started with like 20 and have since added 20 more shades, which is huge for K Beauty lol. There should be a more even amount though between the different skin tones. I would hope they’ll be extending the range with the other 2 foundations as well

You are applying way too much. You literally need to see a few tiny specs on the sponge to cover most of the face.

It is a very interesting video as always 😊 I thinl the most important if i have one of them one day will be to put it correctly because of the coverage. And to find the perfect tone. My biggest problems is my dark circle, it's like crackle most of time and with this kind of fondation i don't know how it can be. I don't like having to treat my makeup with kitten gloves. I don't think i should have to try so hard to make a product work. With that being said I do not like the tir tir cushion either. My conclusion also come from the fact I've used other cushion foundation that I love without having to manipulate so much. My favorite beind Clio. I also understand that I am in the shade range of most cushion foundation, which is a luxury not everyone gets to enjoy. Maybe the mate formula might be better.

First thing I noticed was that there wasn't any warm shades available in the medium category, which was super disappointing. But I imagine they'll continue to expand and will eventually include more warm shades. For example there's a 29c now so I imagine 29w is inevitable. 29n was recommended for me, and I have ordered the sample packets (available on YesStyle), but I'm doubtful it'll be a match and will likely wait until they have warm shades available. I did see some people complain that the neutral shades were leaning yellow, but luckily for me someone posted a picture of 29N compared to Estée Lauder's 4N1 shell beige and it's definitely a neutral, which doesn't help me. Also, many people have mentioned the shade oxidizes darker so maybe getting a shade slightly lighter than your exact skin is better, like how your swatch model liked 27n on you. But it's hard to tell from my end watching it on screen and you didn't mention oxidation so maybe it wasn't an issue for you? As far as texture, others have already pointed out the recommended application process and TirTir offers a milky toner that's recommended before applying the foundation. Despite all the quirks and challenges though, I can't wait for them to come out with more warm shades because there seems to be a lot of pros and given the price point, I'm really interested in seeing if I can make it work for me. And as you pointed out, they have other formulations for people preferring something more dewy or more matte. If I can find a shade that works for me, I'll definitely play with the other formulations once their shade ranges expand as well.

agree with you on everything. I noticed that some shades oxidize more than others. 27N oxidizes more than 29N. Yesterday I tried 30N and it seems to work too if I blend it with 27N

I can never tell if I'm a warm or cool tone. There were warm shades that worked, and cool shades that worked. I wondered if I'm neutral in a way. I think i need to try this brand.

You are supposed to mix on the cusion pad first then you'll have a better application which I'm sure you'll be pleased with .

I got the sample set and my shade was 25 mocha, but I found it too heavy and cakey/dry on my skin. I do have dry sensitive skin, although I do like their red setting spray. I saw that they released the pink cushion for oily and silver cushion which is dewy for dry skin so will probably get the full size of the silver. Glad I did not buy the full size of the red, I distributed the other samples to my colleagues instead. In Korea (and Japan etc...) everyone is really fair so it makes sense they only create light shades as they aren't diverse or multicultural like the west, pretty homogenous overall. But since tir tir has started to market in the west it's good they expanded the shade range

You definitely overapplied. You only need to put the puff into the cushion one time and then tap on your face. Otherwise, you end up with way too much product. Another tip is after you tap the puff into the cushion. You tap off the access on the back of the cover.

P.S. By the way, have you tried the Clarins cushion foundation ? It simply gorgeous on skin! Very thin, smothes out texture, and beautiful medium coverage but very thin texture. It is quite glowy. I am oily skin, but even tho its glowy I manage to make it work with setting powder. I love this foundation. But shade wise it’s a shame, very small shade range. I also have the la Prairie cushion foundation, and I don’t like it. Find it too thick.

This is definitely a brand that was designed for fair skin. Never seen so many variations of fair and light. The other shades feel like an afterthought. This sorta gives me that old school makeup mask vibe

I can’t seem to match. But I’m 63 and I use a teeny amount of it. I tap pad then do pats on skin and dab in. I love the dewy one white I’m dry skin but in Az I like it. I’m dry so it’s nice. I have to prep tho. It’s good. I mix two shades 17 and 20. It’s ok for the price. Im fair light cool neutral. Cool isn’t cool. I make it work

I use the blurring balm powder underneath mine too! We're shade twins and 28n is my best match.... you used way too much. Try using less...you only need the thinnest layer for the best performance!

i bought it cause i thought it would be so good because i struggle to find foundation that ACTUALLY looks good on my skin. i am so thankful i bought the mini version because i wasted my money. Im cool toned, 21c matched the best but after a few hours it turned me orange and cakey (i applied it the correct way with dipping the cushion into the product, dabbing it on the lid and then applied). it was so dry and flakey around my nose and between my brows after a few hours. it left me so dissapointed because i really hoped i had finally found a foundation that would be good.

I usually like your videos and I'm not one to comment, but ive never seen such a hyper critical, mean on purpose seeming, video on a product in my life. If you didnt want to try it, why did you? Its sovery obvious you never wanted to like it. You complained about every aspect. Like why? And theres no way you havent seen all the people putting it on and know how it works. I think this range is super impressive for a product that had 9 shades less than a year ago and now have 40. This video was simply for views on your channel and not your best.

Adding on to say...I think it looked nice on you. And I have personally tried this product. It took a couple shades to match myself as it's hard to know only ordering online. But I think if you put that much product of any foundation its going to look like a cake mess on. But if you put it on how it's meant to be applied, this foundation is amazing. It looks like skin without having to set it with powder, doesn't need touching up, and lasts all day like you just put it on. And this is from a 41 year old with combo skin, some fine lines, a couple wrinkles, and a bunch of scars from over picking at my face. This is very much something you theoretically should have loved for yourself based on watching you for years, but you bashed it immediately right down to the package. I truly don't get it.

You couldn’t be further from the truth in your observation of my experience. I tried it because my subscribers wanted me to and frankly I was curious myself. I never watch others reviews, and I didn’t this time, so I applied it the way that I apply most cushion foundations. I don’t think you watched the whole video lol, bc I literally said that it looked beautiful on my smooth forehead and I’m not ruling it out. In fact I want to make it work.

People getting all uppity saying other people are putting it on ‘wrong’-no foundation should be that finicky. We should just be able to use a foundation in the ordinary way. Otherwise it’s a foundation that doesn’t work. And it’s really not a good enough product to justify spending so much time and effort finnicking about with. Not that I will ever use it thanks to the lack of medium or olive shades.
