I've lived in LA over 46 years. This is exactly what it's like. I got a text from a neighbor down the block telling me, "Police trying to get past your security gate." I go outside and sure enough, both cops and fire department are there. LAPD is shining the spotlight on us and the house next door. (We're so used to this, we hadn't even noticed the police helicopter over the house 🙄) I join the cops and one asks me, "Do you know the naked guy on the roof?" 😂🤣 Los Angeles is never boring.

I looked and a guy had shot another guy in the middle of Vermont, in front of Ralph's. The shooter is running down the middle of Vermont, towards me. I'm an old Broad. Running was out of the question, but I've learned movement attracts attention, so I was "being one with the lamppost." The guy runs past me, sees an ice cream vendor on the opposite corner. He runs over to him, opens the lid of the ice cream cart & dumps the gun. The poor vendor is frozen and freaked. The shooter then runs down my street towards my house. A cop saw him run down our Street and the patrol car goes in pursuit. The poor vendor looks at me like, "What do I do?" I just shrugged my shoulders and walked the rest of the way home. It's just Los Angeles. 😂

I can actually spend 2hrs on yard work or detailing my car without feeling gassed out like I did before, even into my 40s. I couldn't walk up a couple flights of stairs without gasping for air. I can't run a 6min mile, play football, basketball, or bike like I did before, but I do feel healthier now than I did when I was smoking. I don't recommend anyone to start using vape, but for long time smokers, it's probably a better alternative. I've tried cold turkey, patches, nico gum, didn't work.

It's entirely possible that the guy didn't have the knife in his hands at that moment, and that the cop DID see that both hands were empty (at least briefly). Unfortunately, we can't confirm what the officer saw.

Lastly the closer you are to the bodycam, the louder your voice will be. The 3 officers moving things can be heard loudly, meanwhile that distinct voice can be heard at a distance saying "get on the bed". There's 3 confirmations that the officer in the corner/window is giving the commands. A bonus confirmation is when he says "Go ahead and grab his hands", the bodycam turns away from him causing the voice to fade left.
