if I was a coach at college, id do whatever I could to get him to the school to play. this kid needs proper training and a taste a baseball in the US. if the fastest pitch you seen is in the 70's and guy are suddenly throwing in the 90's... that a big difference. this kids got heart and could definitely be made into something.

Thanks for the thorough update. It's a long shot for anyone to make it to the MLB but it's an incredibly inspiring story. I mean, seriously, how can you not pull for him? I'm rooting for the kid, and I see no reason why a junior college somewhere can't bring him in and give him the necessary reps. However, I'm kind of growing weary of this 'all eggs in one basket' approach; there are other good young players in Uganda who aren't getting any attention, including a few pitchers throwing over 90 mph without notable coaching.

He doesn’t have the talent to even compete at JUCO schools. My high school has JV and freshman players that would run circles around this dude. I played college ball and some pro ball so I speak from what I’m seeing. And I don’t see anything here. Just another overhyped guy using training techniques that are creative but not even close to being useful.

@@chrisellis4838it is not only about talent when you're in a team. Work ethic is important and he could be good inspiration for teammates and make everyone work harder. Love his story, and with the right training he should be able to be decent at some level I think. In terms of legit prospects out of Uganda, though, David Matoma who the pirates signed in January has electric stuff. Fastball already hitting 101 according to reports (he’s 17!) and has yet to give up a run in organized ball, albeit at the complex level I believe. He can make it far, I think pitching out of Uganda definitely shows a lot more promise for the time being

Just cuz someone works hard or has creative training techniques doesn’t mean they deserve a shot. None of his training was even close to useful if I’m being honest. And another harsh truth is that he honestly didn’t even show the skill level to even attempt a JUCO college tryout. Much less the MLB talk. It’ll never happen. Not hating. Just simply making observations. I played college ball. And some pro ball. This guy has a work ethic but he’s not really a baseball player in my world. He doesn’t display any true baseball type skill. Not past a high school athlete. My high school had JV and freshman guys that showed far superior skill than this guy. That’s my opinion on this overhyped BS just cuz he has videos yo with a brick tied to his wrist it tires on his back. None of that is useful training tools at all in the way he’s using them
