Wise words from my Cuban grandmother.. “Every woman should have a secret emergency account that you deposit into routinely. Even if it’s $20, you put it away.”, I’m glad that I listened. One day domestic violence showed its face for the first time in my marital home. Within TWO days I had a house rented and my kids and I moved. Gracias Abuela!

@the goldenbowl Every woman in a relationship should have a separate account in your name. I had the same experience where I my ex closed out out the joint account unknown to me. We had an account separately for the mortgage on the house. Unknown to him I had my own Separate account . Women wake up. I love u doesn't always mean I won't steal from you.

The husband was definitely a narcissist. He discarded her but when she healed herself and got all this positive attention (that is well deserved), that's why he wanted to come back. The other girl (because I'm sure there was one) probably threw him away too. I can't stress how proud I am of this woman for getting out of a toxic situation. It's all up from here, girl!

My husband did the same thing but he didn't take physical things. He starved himself so he would lose weight and tell people he did because I was abusing him while he was the one abusing me emotionally and financially, he refused to work so I would be the one taking care of everything on a teacher salary and he wasted my savings then cheated and brought his side chick in my own house. I left, moved to another country and rebuilt myself up. We are survivors.

My ex-husband did this to me. He physically assaulted me the week prior and I told him I wanted a divorce. When he saw I had been looking for places to live he moved out with all of our household furniture including 2 dining room sets and couches. I came home from work with our then 2 year old to an empty house. He took me through a nasty divorce and I walked away with no support. Met my soulmate 2 years later after healing and letting God take control. Fast forward 8 years and I've married my soulmate, bought a house, luxury cars, family vacations - all debt free. Ex-husband still has the furniture, is struggling and miserable. Don't play with God's children. 🙌🏽

In 2014 I was 3 months pregnant with a 1 year old fleeing an abusive marriage. My family had to come get us out of Alabama from Michigan. When threats didn't work my ex-husband immediately drained the banking account, and we started over with nothing. From there I got back in education, became a Principal, and started a business. My daughters are happy and healthy, and as a family we are helping other people. Tests like these become your greatest testimony. God bless you all! We're on the top and going higher.

Solo mom, the state of In the state Alabama identifies as an “equitable distribution state.” It was illegal for your ex husband to take all of the money out of your account and anything else the two of you acquired during your marriage. Obviously you did not get an attorney. The state of Alabama recognizes adultery and abandons of the marriage for at least 12 months as grounds go a fault-based divorce in Alabama. Therefore, you should have sued your then husband for at the least abandonment of and marriage and any children born in the marriage. You made yourself a victim.

I walked in my beautiful home was empty. Even took the family TV and game system. I was so heartbroken. Someone said to me what did you do. What how dare you? I loved him and our family. I thought I did what I what he needed. Sometimes people have their own things they are dealing with and don't communicate that. Sometimes we think things are good and then we find that's not the case at all. It was a journey but now I'm even better than I was before. My children and I are thriving. What you didn’t state is that your husband left your family for another woman. Absolutely no woman is cheated on by a husband without the woman knowing by instinct or intuition. Why did you not immediately get an attorney and sued him for abandonment and taking most of the martial property. Hopefully you at least got child support!!!!!!’

The reason people asked her what she did is because it's frightening to think something like this can happen without reason. If she did something, then they will be safe as long they don't do that thing. She was a soft spoken, submissive wife and still got played. That's a scary thought for people who believe that there is magic formula for making another person happy. The truth is we don't have any control over our partners no matter what we do.

I went through the same thing. I dated my ex husband for 4 yrs and was married for 1 1/2 yrs. He told me he never wanted any of this and I had to move out of our house, because my name was not on it. Moved back in with my mother broken, in between marketing jobs. I had to seek the Lord, take responsibility for my part, started all the way over with my teen son. After doing to work I finally got my own place and got to live on my own for the 1st time in my life with my son, my career in marketing took off and I was promoted in a year. I decided to start dating which I never did. It was okay to say no after meeting guys knowing that they were not my person. I finally ended up meeting my now husband. I moved a few states over with my son and now I'm a housewife. I exercise 4 to 5 times a week, clean, cook which I love to do, make my husband lunch and his partner because he owns his own business, Etc. I'm still trying to balance being a housewife, because this is all new for me. I clearly see how God can turn something so ugly into something so beautiful. If God be for you who can be against you. May the Lord bless this woman and when the time is right and she wants it I pray she finds a real man who will love and cherish her the way God commanded a real man to do. In the mist of every storm God is still good 🥲

Butterfly Jones, I agree. There has to be responsibility and accountability. All the woman who were in hostile and abusive relationships saw the signs before they married the abuser or got into the relationship. Generally woman get into bad or abusive relationships and stay in these relationships because of bad choices and then play the victim. Male and female abusers prey on individuals with no self esteem, are depleted emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically, lack self worth, and seek validation from the wrong people. Most if not all of the abused and abandoned women in the comments most likely came from single mother homes or homes where the father was present but absent emotionally and the father never validated these women when the women were little girls. As a result these girls grew up to be women who sought validation from men and self worth from men.

I was married for 24 years, mine did the same. But the peace I received when he left was the best thing. When I met my husband he was a parking attendant on a bike. I had the car. I helped him and supported him in everything he did, he became a firefighter and I was told to put family first and be a home maker. Happiness comes when you realize and accept the fact when you are with a man that makes you cry on a regular basis, abuses you in a variety of ways and leaves for his midlife crisis, you need to jump for joy. I am renewed and even though he took the retirement money he does not have the peace that I have. Karma is real! You cannot mistreat others and think it will work out right for you. Peace and happiness to all who married monsters. ❤

During the pandemic I asked my husband to leave. It was just too much , he contributed nothing. Our child is now 16, during this time he went to Brazil fathered a child, had multiple women, I was confined to my room, told me how fat and ugly I was, verbally and mentally abused our child and has called his child once since the day I asked him to leave. My child now has to get psychological and Psychiatric therapy after ending up in the hospital for 4 months. Her story made me so emotional, but it also reminds me there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I really don't want to be bitter.

All this happened suddenly, I never saw it coming. Oh. But GOD, carried me through. I cringe when I hear the word “bad.” She married him, so he obviously had good qualities to her at the time. She said after he left she finally “heard him.” Tells me they were fighting prior to all of this over something and he voiced several times that she didn’t understand or hear him.

But, one thing is for certain, two things for sure, before you decide to spit in someone's face, you BETTER MAKE DAMN SURE that that is your FINAL answer! He doesn't get to make a U-turn after such a betrayal. I believe the fact that he is willing to go back, invalidates the theory you're attempting to put forth - imo. I understand there are THREE sides to every story. But, it's also important to look at what's in front of you. In general, Men do not forgive nearly half as much as women do. If she did him wrong (based on your theory) and he felt the need to do what he did, he should not want to go back - ever! Why? Because what she did would've been so horrible, that it would've justified his actions, correct? It means he did what he did because he had PROOF that she is a liar, a cheat, an adulterer, manipulative, deceitful, etc... WHO would want to KNOWINGLY reconcile with someone like that? I'm not buying it. He jumped ship, thinking he had someone better than her (or, that he would be better off alone) and it backfired, imo. He had a better life with her and now realizes it - again, imo. He doesn't deserve to ever have ounce of her attention, again.

This is what happens when PhD thinking women marry GED thinking men. They feel intimidated. So she traveled to a convention and he takes everything and leaves. He felt threatened, his boyhood was threatened. His leaving was the best thing that could happen to her life. The same thing happened to me. Sometimes those of us who do everything for our men, end up being taken for granted. They always want more, more, more. When we cannot, or will not do more, they will eventually leave anyway. Two things helped me rebuild my life. 1) remember "God has called you to Peace", and 2) "Living Well is the Best Revenge!" After I recovered and rebuilt my ex asked if we could try again. NOT!

He is a narcissist! He chose his prey and wanted to do it again. It was more about manipulation and control. If she went back to him, he would of respected her and loved her even less (if that's possible)... I'm so glad she found happiness, peace, and the Tamron show!!

Exactly. He was going to have a field day with her because he was exposed for his passive and weak a** “exit plan” on their marriage.

@@a.c.3183 Yes! He was coming back to punish her for exposing who he really is. Im so glad she's never letting him return!

You are so right. He missed his narcissistic supply of power and control. Sickening, isn't it.

I had a neighbor who did the same thing to her husband. She waited till husband was at work.Showed up with a moving van and took everything. She even took all the kids bedding and personal items. Found out later she was seeing another man. Porsche is absolutely not to blame for her ex’s actions. I guarantee there was another woman involved. Instead of being a man and just admitting you no longer want to be married he just takes everything and leaves. Guess he realized the grass is not greener on the other side.

I had to leave everything included my children to get away from my ex husband. It took me a few months but I got my kids back and then rebuilt our lives. Now I'm married to a great man that stepped up as a father to my kids and his. We aren't rich but we have what we need and have just been blessed with a new daughter in law and our first grandbaby. The ex husband didn't even show up for my son's wedding.

Ok so after almost 15 years of living my best life I found out today, from my new daughter in law and wonderful mother to my first grandchild, that this...mmmm going to try and keep it classy... Sperm donor has been borrowing money from my son so that he can feed his 2 step kids and has a new baby on the way with a meth head. My son feels obligated because he doesn't want his new step siblings to suffer and they are trying to figure out how to care for the new baby themselves since it's going to test positive for drugs when it's born and they already have a cps case for the 2 toddlers of hers. I'm trying to stay out of jail here ladies, any suggestions? Oh and this ....mmmm can't even think of a fitting name for him.... Just got $55k from his mother's life insurance and blew it at the casino and is now in my son's pocket. Lord Jesus give me strength not to feed this heathen to the swamp.

I'm so happy she's doing well and has a good support network. He only reached out because of the backlash. I'm glad she stayed strong and believed who he showed her he was. The sky is the limit for her.
