I just want to say. I have been doing Ashtanga Yoga for a short while. I want to learn how to float through the transitions. This video is by far the best one I have come across. Using blocks that way made me start practicing right away, and feel like I am making progress.

Especially since covid there has been an absolute explosion of folks doing home yoga, many with no personal guidance whatsoever, or very little. These types of from-the-ground-up tutorials are what is necessary in this environment where so many are not practicing in a room with the attention of an experienced yogi. This is the first video I've seen that goes even further back than drills to exercises which will build the muscle which is required to float. Fundamental. Really fantastic. Breaking down the task down into goals which can strived for and accomplished replaces all that frustration that comes from trying to do something your body isn't prepared for, and the student instead racks up an impressive list of wins as they ready their body for the main goal. I have only ever left a handful of KZbin comments, but I am so incredibly impressed. Super excited to see what other content you have!!

Best explanation ever! I've watched many tutorials regarding 'how to float', but your explanation and breaking the learning process into small, reasonable steps, is by far the best! I enjoy watching your videos. I still can't float (only a tiny bit), but this gives me hope (because it makes floating look achievable). Keep up the great work 👏🏼 Thank you🙏🏼

Im looking tutorial video about floating drill. I love the way you explain. A moment ago, I dont understand everyone keep saying the elbow has to be over the wrist. Only you explain that or maybe I didn't notice others mention about it. Thanks alot! I'm looking forward to your more yoga drill videos. Very detailed explanation. Well done. And I love your yoga mat. 😊

I’ve been trying since two years now to float back. I can float a little bit by taking a jump but haven’t been able to engage my abs to lift my feet off the ground like you do. I guess this is the most advanced version.

Keep practice Vikram 👍

Viru Yoga you know.. Since the time I posted my comment a month back I've gained a lot more control in jumping forward but still some distance away from holding the float before landing my feet. But at least my feet don't make any noise now while landing. Guess it is a bit of improvement! I just can't seem to feel my navel when trying to lift when trying to float back into chaturanga... So I have to take a bit of a jump.

Hello viro bhai What i would like to know is, is it better to do one style of yoga. Or is it better to do different styles every day. I prefer ashtanga yoga.
@ViruYoga5 жыл бұрын
Hi, If you prefer ashtanga yoga, so master it. Do another kind of yoga style and another exercise, as a supplement. All the best 👍🙏

wooow i really wanna try it! i just subscribed i never saw any similar video in youtube. But i don;'t have blocks should i take core blocks better and not foam blocks? Also what sizes are your blocks? I am really good in yoga and i don't need blocks i just want to buy them for the exercises you show in this video, i am 168 and thin woman. So i should buy the smaller ones?

In your comment at the beginning about being able to touch your head to your knees in Forward Bend, you said "thats enough'. Does that mean being able to have a deep forward fold is a requirement in order to do this? I have super tight hamstrings but great upper body strength. If long hamstrings are required, then I would be better off doing hamstring stretches and the coming back to this, correct? Also, can you PLEASE make a video for tight hamstrings!!!
@DxROC4 жыл бұрын
Another question: Is L-Sit required to do this also? I am currently working on this thru one of your other videos. Thanks
