I have been trying to learn this move for 6 years. My arms have been externally rotated (as I was taught to have them in a down dog). The INTERNAL ROTATION and shoulder blade pushup is the KEY FOR ME. Now I'm so close!!!! WAY closer than I ever have been. Honestly. Dang. Thank you so much this fricken video right here 🥲🤯👏🏻🎉

@@heidizettel Years... Okay, this actually helps to read. I'm about 3 months into Ashtanga and think it would be cool to start acting like I know what I'm doing (I don't). That draws my attention to these transitions that stood out to me the first time I took to Google to figure out what the hell I signed up for... These people are basically defying gravity between the sequences whereas I'm impersonating either a donkey or a walrus. Your comment makes me think this could take a long time, but also that it's possible to keep getting closer. I'm 6'3" and 44 year old with a desk job (rather than being a 16 year old gymnast), but I think it's worth working on it regardless. It just look so cool! I hope you get it soon or have gotten it by the time of this comment.
