THE VIRGIN BIRTH HOAX EXPOSED is a 2-Part Seminar with Rabbi Michael Skobac, Education Director, Jews for Judaism (Canada).
Christian missionaries insist that the Bible contains numerous prophecies, which identify Jesus, as the Jewish Messiah. In this lecture, Rabbi Michael Skobac critically examines the missionaries’ popular claim that the prophet Isaiah predicted the Messiah would be born of a virgin. This video lecture Rabbi Skobac focuses on the context of Isaiah chapter 7 and shows that this chapter only deals with a political crisis facing the Kingdom of Judah about 700 years prior to the birth of Jesus. The chapter addresses the King of Judah and the prophet Isaiah gives him a sign to reassure him that the enemies threatening his kingdom will be destroyed. Clearly, it would be of little assurance to Judah’s King if the sign would only come about seven centuries later, as Christians insist. The context of this chapter is so clearly not about the birth of Jesus, or of the Messiah, and this fact has been acknowledged by some Christian scholars over the years.

I used to be Christian intill I stated reading the torah with commentary. Little by little I started to see the truth. It's embarrassing how blind I was.

I've been reading this site's arguments, however the church has been around 2000 years and has already addressed all these heresies and more. Christianity is centuries older then Rabbinical Judaism. Also there are differences in the Masoretic text and the Dead Sea scrolls. The most complete Hebrew text is 900 AD, centuries younger even then the New Testament.

I too use to be Christian....I even completed a degree in theology. Such a waste looking back since I really discovered the tenach. Bizarrely when I was a child I always would pray to God/Hashem and never to Jesus as it never felt right that he was apparently the son.

Almah doesn't mean "virgin" but "young woman." The author of the New Testament book relied on the faulty Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Bible, which contained adulterated texts from the Greek. Knowing that is also crucial to understanding where the word virgin came from, because the author of the New Testament Gospel had very little understanding of Hebrew culture and language, and was very likely a Greek disciple of Paul of Tarsus.

As a born again, Spirit filled Christian. I agree with you. The only gospel I trust is John, and there is no virgin birth story there. That was added later by Luke as they attempted to turn Messiah into Mithras. The job was completed at the Council of Nicea, and the vaticant has been worshipping Mithras ever since. Virgin birth is not necessary for my faith. As a matter of fact, it taints it by making the Messiah look like a pagan god.

Thank you for your comment. But please allow me to paraphrase it: “I accept that you are trying to equip Jews with true Biblical responses to Evangelical Christians who are conducting a massive worldwide effort to convert countless thousands of Jews to Christianity, but must it be done by offending those same Christian missionaries?” I am sorry if “the” truth offends. But the reality is, when Christian missionaries try to make the case that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah, their claim can only be true or false. In the case of the Christian claim, that Jesus fulfilled the Messianic prophecy that the Jewish Messiah must be born of a virgin, we cannot be concerned if “the” truth offends a Christian, especially if the cost of withholding that truth is that we lose Jewish souls to a religion that Judaism considers to be idolatry to the Jew. If “the truth shall set you free”, then you must appreciate the goal of this video is to show why Judaism has rejected the “Virgin Birth” claim for 2,000 years... because it is not true. I’m sorry if that offends you. To be fair and reasonable in our presentation, I think Jews for Judaism clearly and accurately presented the Christian claim and then also demonstrates how this alleged messianic prophecy cannot be true on vivid and concise biblical examination. as Christian I stand with Israel and Jews as they have right to exist(plus I am from middle East Syria) but ur way is really disrespectful ，not saying I agree with the church on everything . but I believe that there's more to understand and Joshua is the real messiah. virgin birth or not I don't really care some even say Jesus and Mary both came from virgin birth for establishing a special blood line and it is still till this days some have such features. plus Adam and Eve not first humans but the modified one .

Peace, as you proclaim, will never be achieved as long as all the religions that exist nowadays keep fighting each other. If the preachers and priests do not posses at least a little tolerance towards each other, peace will still be a Utopian concept..This would lead to question; which believe or religion speaks and teaches the truth? The conflicts around the world show us that no religion has been able to lead mankind into peace. So, instead of dividing, unite.
