Virgin Birth - Jesus the Root and Seed of David

Jesus' lineage tracing back to King David comes through marriage. Society tends to speak of "seed" in terms of patriarchal lineage but Genesis 3:15 shows us prophetically that a woman can also have seed. Joseph was not only Jesus' adoptive father but his lineage may have been compromised by a curse upon Jeconiah. Luke's gospel suggests that Mary is the link to the throne of David through Abijah.
