My metabolism now is so high I burn 2 kilos every week at least... no carbs in my food only salad greens and few tomatoes... and eggs and fish... never constipated anymore... my brain is working over the charts and I feel fantastic never had any cholesterol and my blood is great... so yeah virgin coconut is good to prolonged fasting and boost my metabolism ;) with kind regards from Nola ;)

@JohnDHair3 жыл бұрын
Those nutiva organic ones you mentioned are not refined
@alenasenie69283 жыл бұрын
The difference is how they got it, refined used heat, unrefined is mechanically, if you read the label of the unrefined it should say something like "cold compress ", in Spanish is "prensado en frio" really, you shouldn't buy any oil that doesn't say that, the sunflower oil that I have always used (now in low quantity) is of that kind, the difference with other brands is huge, it is also cheaper, once in the supermarket someone saw me buying that one and said something like "ugh that oil for poor people" then I saw it was the cheapest one, so it was cheap and better.
@HufflepuffDaddy3 жыл бұрын

HI! I would really appreciate if someone explained something to me. In a Keto diet i can eat up to 20g of carbs per day (give or take). Potato chips have 40g of net carbs per 100g. Which means i could eat 50g of potato chips per day and still meet the daily quota of carbs in a keto diet. Is this correct? Could i actually do this? Thanks in advance.
@alenasenie69283 жыл бұрын
Is not a good idea, since potato chips are high in carbs and fat, the ideal is not to eat carbs with fat, and it is better if you use the maximum carbs to eat vegetables. That would be like 4%of you daily calories lost in something with no nutritional value, it would be better to just eat a potato, ideally after it gets cold Tldr, you can but you shouldn't
@HufflepuffDaddy3 жыл бұрын
On strict keto, you would limited to 20 net carbs of potato chips or 20 net from the 50 total carbs (100 ÷ 2 = 50). Sorry but that would be your only meal. That's where intermittent fasting comes in. Please look for good keto recipes and you can eat better and more fuller per 20 carbs. If you're starting out don't kill yourself -- keep carbs under 50 at first and then try working your way down.

@@HufflepuffDaddy I'm doing OMAD with a Keto diet for 7 weeks now. Problem is, i'm eating out with co-workers everyday. I'm always either eating grilled meat with salad or grilled fish with salad/vegetables. I can't stand it anymore. i literally want to vomit everytime i see that type of food in front of me. In my country we either use rice, potatoes and pasta for every single dish. I'm from Portugal and we have an amazing varied cuisine. I dropped sugar really easy but the other carbs are more difficult due to the type of dishes that we have. I can't even eat beans! Doing OMAD i could eat a handful of chips with a meal, or a tablespoon of rice and it would completely change the dish. It's not that i'm craving carbs, it's that i'm at a point that i'd rather not eat than eat a grilled steak with salad again. i'm that desperate.
@HufflepuffDaddy3 жыл бұрын
@@susaz7694 omg! Your regular food is like a feast to me, lol. Sounds great! But I would just eat the meat and veggies (keto) and stay away from rice and pasta (carbs) but that would be hard because they are filling and satisfying. You can try tho. Hey, a cheat meal of potato chips isn't bad if you have the discipline (OMAD) to stop and then use Psyllium husk later to clear it out. I bet if you cut your own potatoes slices and pan-fry or deep-fry them in coconut oil they would be healthier. Your OMAD allows you to "cheat" every now and then. It's brutal so don't feel guilty for rewarding yourself sometimes...only sometimes.
