My diet is based on virgin coconut in my tea or coffee :) lost 60 lb just changing my diet with virgin coconut. My metabolism now is so high I burn 2 kilos every week at least... no carbs in my food only salad greens and few tomatoes... and eggs and fish... never constipated anymore... my brain is working over the charts and I feel fantastic never had any cholesterol and my blood is great... so yeah virgin coconut is good to prolonged fasting and boost my metabolism ;) with kind regards from Nola ;)

I mean, why go the extra steps, it would be a waste of time traditionally to separate the parts just to mix them together again, there is no correct way to use it, there are different ways for different goals, if you only want a meal there is no sense in separating the components, if you want to maximize one property then it does

For those of us that are of a certain age, we grew up w movie theaters actually popping the pop corn in the lobby & they used coconut oil. Then in the early 80s a group of ppl decided based on studies that coconut oil was bad & agitated to stop theaters from using it. the theaters went to buying pre-popped corn that they put under warmers.

@alenasenie6928

The difference is how they got it, refined used heat, unrefined is mechanically, if you read the label of the unrefined it should say something like "cold compress ", in Spanish is "prensado en frio" really, you shouldn't buy any oil that doesn't say that, the sunflower oil that I have always used (now in low quantity) is of that kind, the difference with other brands is huge, it is also cheaper, once in the supermarket someone saw me buying that one and said something like "ugh that oil for poor people" then I saw it was the cheapest one, so it was cheap and better.

HI! I would really appreciate if someone explained something to me. In a Keto diet i can eat up to 20g of carbs per day (give or take). Potato chips have 40g of net carbs per 100g. Which means i could eat 50g of potato chips per day and still meet the daily quota of carbs in a keto diet. Is this correct? Could i actually do this? Thanks in advance.
@alenasenie6928
@alenasenie6928 3 жыл бұрын
Is not a good idea, since potato chips are high in carbs and fat, the ideal is not to eat carbs with fat, and it is better if you use the maximum carbs to eat vegetables. That would be like 4%of you daily calories lost in something with no nutritional value, it would be better to just eat a potato, ideally after it gets cold Tldr, you can but you shouldn't
@HufflepuffDaddy
@HufflepuffDaddy 3 жыл бұрын
On strict keto, you would limited to 20 net carbs of potato chips or 20 net from the 50 total carbs (100 ÷ 2 = 50). Sorry but that would be your only meal. That's where intermittent fasting comes in. Please look for good keto recipes and you can eat better and more fuller per 20 carbs. If you're starting out don't kill yourself -- keep carbs under 50 at first and then try working your way down.

@@HufflepuffDaddy I'm doing OMAD with a Keto diet for 7 weeks now. Problem is, i'm eating out with co-workers everyday. I'm always either eating grilled meat with salad or grilled fish with salad/vegetables. I can't stand it anymore. i literally want to vomit everytime i see that type of food in front of me. In my country we either use rice, potatoes and pasta for every single dish. I'm from Portugal and we have an amazing varied cuisine. I dropped sugar really easy but the other carbs are more difficult due to the type of dishes that we have. I can't even eat beans! Doing OMAD i could eat a handful of chips with a meal, or a tablespoon of rice and it would completely change the dish. It's not that i'm craving carbs, it's that i'm at a point that i'd rather not eat than eat a grilled steak with salad again. i'm that desperate.
@HufflepuffDaddy
@HufflepuffDaddy 3 жыл бұрын
@@susaz7694 omg! Your regular food is like a feast to me, lol. Sounds great! But I would just eat the meat and veggies (keto) and stay away from rice and pasta (carbs) but that would be hard because they are filling and satisfying. You can try tho. Hey, a cheat meal of potato chips isn't bad if you have the discipline (OMAD) to stop and then use Psyllium husk later to clear it out. I bet if you cut your own potatoes slices and pan-fry or deep-fry them in coconut oil they would be healthier. Your OMAD allows you to "cheat" every now and then. It's brutal so don't feel guilty for rewarding yourself sometimes...only sometimes.

This is what's wrong with people like Thomas ...60% of people are overweight. The effort needs to be to provide a simple methodology to shed those pounds in a sustainable way. Getting into the "nitty gritty" only frustrates the beginner dieter... just getting people to track their macros is a huge challenge, much less stressing over what kind of coconut oil is "Bad" and what is "good"... That are both "good" vs someone that normally uses Soybean/ vegetable oils.

But you are not as yoked as vshred. Can you speak to microdosing testosterone (125 ml per week) prescribed a doctor? I love the Greek yogurt and powdered lakanto by the way. Only cold pressed coconut oil goes in this body.

Only buy Virgin Coconut Oil extracted from Coconut Milk. Many companies are selling Cold pressed Copra(dried Coconut) oil as Virgin.

Avoid em both Thomas D and your heart will thank you for it - coconut oil refined virgin or organic is totally toxic to the heart - the health benefits are all cancelled out due to this oil being a slow acting poison if consumed on a regular basis - use it only on the outside of your body ie massage lotions potions etc and for cleaning - that’s all the uses that coconut oil is good for in my opinion - I would never eat this disgusting stuff - olive oil is where it’s at for me - why everyone touts coconut oil as the holy grail of oils I’ll never know - the only goodness about coconuts is the water ! Your welcome !

Refined or not, it's saturated and not good for heart health. This is indisputable.

@@Emotionlessxartist It's debatable if ANY oil is good for heart health. The polyphenols in olive oil may have some benefit - more research is necessary. But if you are going to have oil have monounsaturated oil which means extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil.

It is well disputed. We have only eaten seed oils for a few hundred years and ate saturated fat for thousands of years before that.

Coconut oil is only "bad" in America according to American Heart Association which is sponsored by Procter & Gamble. Coconut oil (not sponsored by seed oil manufacturers) is very good for Asian and consumed in Asia for thousand of year.
