Some people would just have cake at every meal! Test Kitchen was a revelation, what a brilliant idea and what lovely staff serving you. Hope the sea is not too rough.

@kathleenpipes Lisa has to restrain herself when it comes to cake. Test Kitchen was great fun. Fortunately, the sea was fine in the end and rocked us gently into the arms of Morpheus. Far better than ending up in the arms of Poseidon!

More of your new love affair with Virgin Cruises - Have to say the food does look amazing ! Beach front looked nice - Dramatic stormy seas too ! A Hetty Winthrop / Heston Blumental fusion restaurant sounds like a great new business idea ! You should start that up ! That said the Test Kitchen looks close enough - Interesting meals and drinks 😮..One nice feature of the ship is the lighting - Everywhere seems bright and airy ..Another great video guys !

Thanks for watching and commenting Joan. The food quality and service was excellent. There was a lot of choice for vegetarians and people with dietary requirements. I was a bit concerned that it would be limited in the restaurants but they were very accommodating to dietary needs. By the way our daughter is in Australia at the moment having a wonderful time!! I love that you’re having such a great time. The Test Kitchen looks a fun idea but I’m far too square. I’m not good with curated menus… I hate cold soup, have always avoided venison and scallops, the peas and egg may be DIVINE, but looks ‘orrible. And those drinks, eek. What an amazing smile Akhtar (apols if I misheard/misspelled) has. That French place looks lovely! Glad you survived the weather.

It was a theatrical experience rather than a culinary triumph. The cold peas and egg yolk tasted how it looked! 🤢 We don't mind trying different things, so while some were hits and some were misses, the whole meal was interesting. Every course was something for us to talk about. You may prefer The Wake, which is in next week's video. Thanks for watching.

Great vlog guys! Looks like you enjoyed Resilient Lady and the Virgin Voyages experience as much as we did. Just watching you about to eat those peas and eggs made us feel sick 🤢one of the worst things we have ever eaten at sea. We didn't know you could grab vegetarian sausages from Dash Diner, so thanks - we'll remember for next time. We'll keep clear of the "old lady bath water" next time though 😄

I think everything about that evening was lovely - the interesting food, the strange drinks, the friendly couple sitting next to us and the amazing staff who went that extra mile to make our experience special. Here's a Disco Dave tip for the small orange juice glasses. Get a small plate and put as many orange juices on it as you want, this stops you having to keep going up to refill.

The quality of food on Virgin looks really good all-round. Test Kitchen certainly looks, as you describe, an interesting and enjoyable “experience”. Lisa, I thought you were a bit cruel commenting on Giles’s belly size. I’ve seen him follow a very balanced diet: veggie burger and chips in one hand, pizza and chips in the other 😅
