Tears fall from a father’s eyes onto the top of his daughter’s head. He’s holding her for the first time in a long time. He dances with her. They both know that, in a few short hours, they’ll go back to not being able to touch each other again. It may be years and quite possibly even decades.
Angela Patton, founder of Girls for a Change (GFAC), is determined to create a future where this doesn’t happen. Not only would incarcerated fathers be able to hug and maintain a relationship with their daughters, but all people behind bars would experience the connection that comes with human touch.
