This is why I loved the arcades - and still do - so much: they could take any genre of gaming, keep it fairly simplistic in terms of goals (although not necessarily in terms of difficulty) and make it exciting. I could never get into sports games as a kid or teenager, yet everytime I went to the arcade, even games like this or virtua tennis or outrun would get my attention, they always seemed so damn exciting and they were fun to play and NEVER did it ever feel like a session was dragging on for too long. Brilliant

I remember I was so good with this game - it's my go-to gamelist aside from Initial D, Marvel vs. SF, Tekken 3 & KOF 98 when I went to arcade... It's so popular at arcade in my country. With only 1x token/coin usage, I can play for almost 1-1.5 hrs gameplay... Watching 1 by 1 challenger loss.. Mostly, not even a goal was score yet against COM then suddenly "HERE COME A CHALLENGER"..Haha~ but sometimes, there were good opponent come by and gave a good challenge~

I don't remember it much anymore but I believe it only works when you play against certain formations. At kick-off, if you just ran straight towards goal and took a weighted shot from a certain distance while slightly angling away from the keeper, it would 90% of the time go in.

@@Jan61083 en la reversión A del juego si lo pones en el nivel más difícil y les haces un gol cuando sacan del medio la tiran al lateral, ahí sacas el lateral con el del pase largo al jugador que está adentro del área, cuando esté recibe la pelota tiras un centro y siempre hay uno que la cabecea y hace el gol, esta jugada funciona contra Italia, Brasil, sega y a veces Japón
