I have visited the remains of the Baths of Caracalla and found them to be magnificent and extremely impressive. This reconstruction puts some flesh on the bones and really shows off what incredible designers, architects and builders the Romans were. That's Roman architecture for you, they don't fail to impress and leave you awestruck. Style and aesthetics are key to its success. The golden ratio, which is used in ancient classical architecture is akin to Feng Sui, I reckon, since it looks and feels naturally balanced. Also, the bold and monumental style reflects Roman confidence, dominance, ability, and most of all, power. Architecture is ideal propaganda, even if it's subliminal.
