It’s a problem on KZbin toooo. 😅 the amount of people who use simple (and lazily edited, if at all) reactions to a 3 minute music video to ask for patreon subs and “donations” for seven of those minutes is crazy. I do believe men should support their children, but we also need to address the issue of young women having children with men who have made zero commitment to staying and raising a family with them. I am totally in favour of women being as sexually active as they choose, with whoever they choose, but we need to educate them into using contraception until they “settle down” with someone prepared to be a father. Young men equally need to be educated about contraception- to avoid fatherhood until they are ready and prepared to fund it.

@@alisongreen7576I agree. Some women are fully aware that these men are not going to commit to them and are not fit to be fathers and have children by them always. And somehow, they’re always surprised when the dad doesn’t magically become a good person and father. I feel zero sympathy for both of them. Sex-ed should focus less on abstinence and more on educating people about how difficult parenthood is, whether you’re a mother or father. I think showing teens how a baby will become your entire life whether you like it or not is far more persuasive than saying “Don’t have sex.”

I feel like asking online for help is okay if it's only once or twice, in DIRE need, after doing everything you can and are trying your best, and you're not being so entitled about it. Like, the way most of them often threaten, gaslight, and yell at the people they panhandle to is insane. Where's the shame? The embarrassment??

Glad I found someone speaking about this "epidemic", it's getting OUT OF HAND
@alisongreen757626 күн бұрын
It’s not an epidemic, it has always existed- you are just seeing it because it’s now on social media. I was an ER doctor here in the UK for nearly 25 years and these people and their kids are every ER’s “frequent flyers” - the unfortunate “flotsam and jetsam” of society who was up in hospital regularly- with mental health crises, overdoses, the long term complications of addiction and poor nutrition, and injuries from violence and accidents. The pregnant beaten up heroin addicted 19 yr old, the attempted hanging from the local prison, the 22 yr old in septic shock with a gangrenous leg from injecting drugs- who had the other leg amputated two years ago- the 46 yr old alcoholic in liver failure, the 10 month old with a fractured thigh bone after climbing out of a crib because she was wet and starving. All of this happens, every day, in every city, in every rich country. Now you are just seeing it.

@coolchameleon212 ай бұрын
istg some people keep having kids knowing how hard the last one was because they have a martyr complex. they can go on and on about “how hard it is to be a parent” to get sympathy from people, even though they put themselves in that situation (multiple times)

It also speaks for peoples relationship with money. These "gifts" -the hearts, the roses, the ice cream, don't equate real money in people's minds...that was the whole angle and it worked. Especially on the kids, since they likely have no concept of money to begin with. Its sick really. We're a sick society and a sick world, who's symptoms are a sign of a deeper issue. Hopefully we can get better. 😢

To be honest as someone in need and been in need. I didn’t know this was so bad. I remember once I was so hungry in college before being forced to dropped out that I offered to do paintings for funds. Instead of just asking for free money I tried doing a service at least. I was questioned so much about it that I never asked for help again. And this is while I took a job that affected my grades heavily that also contributed to dropping out. I had to choose between my education and eating the next day. Than it was a struggle still but I had a roof over my head in my family home till April of last year.. my uncle was irresponsible didn’t pay his mortgage blamed everyone else while I was paying bills in the home. And I got kicked out of my home of 13 years. Still don’t have my own yet I tried asking my mom for help but she proved how much of a not mom she is still matter of fact she didn’t even check to see if I was safe. So I pick to struggle still till I find a place because either I feel shame for needing help or people would think I’m a fraud. I been doing art commissions to get by and trying to save. It’s just abit hard 💀

I understand that you are going through a difficult financial situation, and I am sorry to hear that. I know it can be tough to make ends meet, and sometimes we have to make difficult decisions. I would like to suggest that you reach out to your local employment center for support in seeking employment. Additionally, some schools offer work-study or stipend programs. When I was an undergraduate, I participated in a work-study program and also had an off-campus job while taking a full course load. I hope that you are able to resume your studies soon. Good luck!
