If you want to feel stupid... The Zero delay controller does not use Common Ground but Common +5V. Hey, its China, they do things their own way. The button signal pulls-up to +5V, which last I remember is not ground.

Thank you for your awesome videos. I've been looking online for a standalone guide on how to wire the Kl25z board to buttons. I've looked through KZbin, MJR guide and, Google to find nothing. I understand the Kl25z wires computer USB to board. Then the wires need to go to a terminal? Then to button. Any explanation on wiring buttons directly to the Kl25z board would be helpful.

I am afraid i can't possibly do tutorials for all solutions out there. I would recommend you purchase Arnoz's KLShield that will connect very similar to the Rigmaster.

Greate video. Do you connect the flipper button on the zero delay board with two wires?

Once I have the zero delay board install and the buttons tested good, where do I go to map the buttons to a key stroke?
@MajorFrenchy2 жыл бұрын
I think i have a video about buttons. In the control panel click on printer and devices. Ypu will see a joystick controller. Click on the properties and when you press the buttons you will see the button number light up. Then in vpx or other software you map the keys within the button mapping section of VPX and assign the number of the button.

I bought the zero delay board that you suggested, but the wires are way too short to connect to the buttons around the cabinet. Are there extensions for the wires that can be bought? I've looked at Amazon and other places an can't seem to find any. Just wondering how you deal with this problem. Thanks. Your videos are fantastic.

Just cut the wires in the middle, add a longer wire , solder and shrink wrap.that' what I needed to do

Lookup 2.54mm JST-XHP JST Connector on Amazon, plus Professional Pin Crimping Tool 2.54mm 3.96mm 28-18awg, and some wire. Make sure its a stepped crimp/2 level: wire and insulated wire. It will make beautiful connections but cost. $40-50 plus wire. Or go the Frenchy way - extra wire, solder, and shrink tube.

Where did you get the coin button? Is there a way to power this with straight usb or power without a board? I would prefer to not purchase a 5V power board just to light up one button.
@MajorFrenchy5 жыл бұрын
You can split one of wire of your computer power supply, or use a 5v power block ( cell phone charger ) as long as all your ground are connected together, you will be fine. All parts I used are listed on the site www.mameinabox.com/parts

On zero delay is there a placement that does esc, enter, cnrl, or shift? So that some stuff wouldn't have to be mapped in software?
@cbaxter65274 жыл бұрын
No - just buttons 1 through 12, Joystick up/down/right/left and High-hat mode override, plus turbo fire. It is not a keyboard emulator but a multi-button joystick.

Ciao Major Frenchy. Excuse my english but i'm using google translate: In my pinball i have a zero delay card, but still i have a delay on the video when i press the button (about 3/4 tenths of a second). How can I fix it? Thank you
@MajorFrenchy Жыл бұрын
The zero delay is not ideal for pinball as you experienced it. It is prefered to map your button with a force feedback controller like the Pinscape. You will then have no delay

One more question if i may? Where can i buy the original joystick controller board without ending up in china with a google search?
@MajorFrenchy3 жыл бұрын
Just search Amazon for zero delay

Thanks for the tutorials! Can you tell me how the flippers are activated for menu scrolling in pinup popper? My flippers work great once a game is started but are not recognized in pinup popper to control the menu. I have all my cabinet switches hooked up to the plunger v3 board. Do I need to use another interface board? thanks.
@MajorFrenchy4 жыл бұрын
Your flipper are hooked to solenoids and they work in the game?
@rwill2cruzer4 жыл бұрын
@@MajorFrenchy No. Just using SSF. The cabinet switches work once I start a game with the keyboard but do not work for scrolling through the popper menu. I have to use the keyboard for that.

I have a zero delay for my arcade cabinet but the wires it comes with I feel will be too short to reach the buttons. Any suggestions on where to find longer wires? They are only 9” each and my cabinet will be about 24” so i need at least 15” wires.
@MajorFrenchy5 жыл бұрын
We all have the same problem 😉 Just cut your wires in the middle and solder or tape gage 18 wire.

If i want to add solenoids, do i connect it to this somehow? or a different device?
@MajorFrenchy3 жыл бұрын
No solenoids are totally different than buttons. You will need a controller like a pinscape,kl25z or a ledwiz
@MajorFrenchy3 жыл бұрын
If you purchase a Pinscape, which I highly recommend by the way, you can connect your buttons and solenoids and anything else you would like to add in the furure like fan, flashbars strobes
