1st undercab RGB setup and now SSF - followed both of your tutorials and it all is working great! Thank you M Frenchy! To all those wondering - just do it! I have real solenoids, shaker, gear, knocker and this compliments that for an even more realistic pinball simulation.

I just want to say thank you so much for all the videos that you're creating. I'm just walking into this world of virtual pins and I come from a electromechanical pinball world. These videos are fantastic and so clarifying and I have parts coming in at this time to work towards making these wonderful machines. Again thank you so much.

Love SSF. Couldn't play my cab without it and best of all, you can change flipper, sling shits, bumper sounds to your liking. Great video Major Frenchy!

WOOOO HOO! finally got a detail and examples explanation of the SSF. THANK YOU so much for this. The only thing you might want to add to the video, is example of the sound of SFF then sound example of the solenoids and switch with out SSF and finally both together to show how much SSF adds to the over all experience of the CAB. Either way fantastic job.... clap clap clap.

Thank you paul. We were just chatting about it in the discord group discord.gg/x32hXek and i think there is a way to disable the SSF contactor noise if you want to use the real one instead. If anyone knows, feel free to add the info

@@MajorFrenchy No biggie hey, we are just glad that people are enjoying it and we are most grateful to the table authors for now including it in their original builds.

SSF is so underrated. Would always start with that over dof contactors / solenoids.

Thanks for this super clear and concise setup video. Once this is setup and working in VPX, is it easy to get ssf working in future Pinball? Do you have a vid for that?
@iDigStuff4 жыл бұрын
Great video. Great info. Thank you! Please be careful when you talk signal flow as to not confuse people. Unless SSF runs differently than every other audio system the output from the amp does not go to the computer as you stated. The output comes from the Computer > into the Amp > out to the Exciter Speakers not the other way around.
@djdfrag Жыл бұрын
How do you wire from the amps to the sound card? My sound card is in my pc and it doesn't take L/R audio signals. Are you splicing? I haven't seen anyone talk about the actual connections from amp to computer.

Hi, can you connect the amps live and earth to connection blocks that go to 12v power

Great video, thanks for posting it. I have a question: does the table have a tilt mechanism ? If I'm playing and shake it too much does it tilt ? Also can I influence the ball bounce by shaking the table a little like in real pinball ?
@mikefacen Жыл бұрын
Ah did a little search and I see accelerometers are used as an input and the simulators already have that function.

Question: If I have a 4 ohm amp, I should buy 4 ohm exciters right? I'm thinking about getting two 4 ohm amps to run two 4 ohm exciters each. Thanks.

Question for you Major. Do I need doflinx running in the background to make this work.? I followed all the steps and tested the exciters. I have no sound coming from them for the mechanical parts.... only the back glass and pub pack sounds.
@MajorFrenchy3 жыл бұрын
No you don't. Not for Vpx. If you use FX3 follow Terry Red guide. You need special setup for it.

If I already have real hardware toys for realistic sounds, can this be used without conflicting with them? I like the effect you get of the ball rolling with SSF, but I don’t really need it helping with my bumper/flipper noises as I have those. I’m afraid they’ll co flick if both are working at the same time.

Hello - have a question about "Channel Phantoming" check out this Facebook entry. It is recommended that you solve this problem with the "EQAPO" program, otherwise sound files will be lost at some tables. Source Facebook SSF (Surround Sound Feedback for Visual Pinball) facebook.com/groups/SSFeedback/ Contribution by Stefan Weber Quote: We do use the 7.1 soundcard outputs, but there is actually no center speaker in our setups. So any sound fx routed to the center speaker would be lost.
