Okay so this tutorial, was like my first in virtual home staging, actually one of the first for blender. I understood absolutely nothing, so I went to check out other tutorial, 6 months later, I understand everything and you fixed so many issues with lightning and everything. This tutorial is amazing !! But you need to know blender basics.... Which are very helpful because blender is just so amazing

Lighting usually looks "realer" if you can get the room to match the real world scale of a real room.

Also use distance function in fspy to properly scale the scene.

Thanks bud. Great video. Any chance you can walk us wanna be virtual stagers who have never used 3D software step by step? I'm a real estate photographer who could benefit from such know how. Even references of great tutorials you've seen would be a great help please. Thanks again.

Thanks for that, If you've never used a 3d software I recommend watching the Donut Tutorial by Andrew Price. If you want a slower paced tutorial about virtual staging I found this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZPJdq2bZphpmtE

Such a great video! Quick, concise and informative! I've been looking into virtual staging more and more lately. It looks like a great option but what I export from fSpy is rarely usable.. I'm sure I'm missing something but I'll figure it out :D Thank you!

Love this tuto. I tried it and it works but I have a shadow problem. I have too much shadow on the walls and floor on the render that make the composite dark. Could you please help me to fix that ?

I'm wondering the same thing but would be interested to know if you figured it out in the meantime. Simply increasing the power of the area light in the window doesn't seem to be the solution, because it's still there on the walls but the objects are just too bright at that point. It kind of feels like a step was missed in the video?

Thank you so much! Amazing tutorial! I am a beginner in Blender and achieving this gave me confidence! I just noticed that you probably tick transparency in render properties in 2:04 but It doesn't show in the video. Maybe if someone beginner like me doesn't understand why their render doesn't work can check that :)

Why am I not seeing UV Map in the dropdown list for the UV Projection modifier? I remember doing this in the past and it worked but now there's noting in the list and the projection isn't corect. Any advice?

Great tutorial! Just running into 1 problem.... in the fspy camera setup the depth setting is set to Front, making my furniture disappear when the opacity is 1. When I turn the opacity down or switch to Back the furniture is visible but the (room) image is only visible through the windows. Any idea how to switch it around?

I mentioned it in the video but if you press ALT - Z it will put you into xray mode or alternatively you can switch from solidview to wireframe.

for me it just shows the window in the 3D rendered View. Like at 2:03. How did you get it to 2:04? You cut the video at that point

I normally really like a video that doesn't spend a whole lot of time talking and runs through everything. But i think you went just a tad fast. I would have gone just a little bit slower so people could see what controls you were clicking on. For example - when you resize the mesh, you can click on individual points and move that point to resize the mesh. I don't see how to do that. Took me a minute to find the rescale control but that only lets me expand or contract the x/y axis. And then you say to extrude up the edges - how do you do that? Or was this tutorial intended for people who are already familiar with blender but not specifically with using it to do virtual staging? I get the feeling it was. If so thats ok. You might just want to preface this video by saying it assumes you have a basic understanding of blender.

Thanks for you input man, I'm still very new to making tutorials and as experienced artist I completely forgot to go over all the foundational stuff. I'll try make my future tutorials more beginner friendly so that everyone can follow along :)
@merk1701
@merk1701 Жыл бұрын
@@_Approximated_ it's a bit of a balancing act. I'm sure the people already familiar with blender appreciate not having to listen to you talk about the basic commands they already know. But for people not familiar with it, it's pretty hard to follow along. I usually spend a lot of time in Lightroom or Photoshop, and so I wind up watching videos on those. And they will usually point out every click they do, at least once, even if it's the most basic function.

What is the purpose of this tutorial??? If to show up your skills, than bravo! If it ment to teach a Blender begginer how to use fspy, than this is another useless tutorial (not explaining all steps, tripple speed, etc.) ...

Meant to show those who are already somewhat familiar with Blender a new skill and those who have 0 experience what's possible. I understand it's not very beginner friendly but my goal was to keep the video short and easy to digest. I apologise if you were having a difficult time following along.
