My stroke was from afib (in my sleep). and mostly affected my left peripheral vision. I have no other deficits. I’m having sleep issues and the occasional misjudging things like picking up my coffee cup and bumping it into something close by. It’s so frustrating. I’m not getting much help from the medical system and feel like I’m whining if I ask for help since others have it so much worse.

I appreciate you sharing your experience! All trauma is relative AND valid. Yes, many others have it "worse" than us in any given moment but by advocating for your needs, you will have the higher quality of life you deserve!
