Michael - your editing and overall style is fantastic, all these videos are so professional feeling and very watchable. You seem to have quite a thoughtful, almost Buddhist outlook gently permeating your voice over without it being over bearing. It's such a great mix. Also, Prime is my hero too. Its such a shame what happened to the character in the Bay era, you know?

OMG Michael I used to have the original Sky Fire/Jet Fire figure from back in the day. From what I remember, it was metal and looked almost Identical to the VF-IS Robotech/Macross model of the time except I think the decals were varied. Man I miss that toy! Great Transformers collection! Makes me wish I still had all of the old ones my friend gave me when he moved :(

I played with these for hours when I was a kid. Funny I remember being so jealous of my friend because he had Prowl. And I think he was jealous cause I had Sunstreaker. Between Transformers, Thundercats, Voltron, and He-Man, I had awesome toys growing up. The 80’s ruled for many reasons, and these toys (and cartoons) were a big part why.

The MP-39 Sunstreaker looks way more like the G1 version, im sure you probably got that one by now. I too was a big Beachcomber fan as I shared his love for nature and animals. 15:00 - perfect life lesson there, Optimus couldn't have said it better.

Yay Part 8! Man, if you don't have an angelic sound play when you open that door, you should. I can't get enough of that initial sense of awe when these videos begin. Where is your preferred place to track down those hard to find necessities for your collection? What toy shows do you hit up regularly?

That sound definitely plays in my imagination. :D I got most of my stuff from fellow Canadians on Ebay years ago so shipping wasn't too much, and a few things at a local convention. I live in a not too big a town so prices are more reasonable here than in the big city.

Rocking display!!! The MP line is amazing (as is the work of talented third party studios). TF MPs make up the bulk of my collection these days along with a few Soul of Chogokin releases. There’s something about these lines that do so well at capturing the essence of these toys the way you remember them, both as toys and in their respective animated forms.

I like how you display them with bot, alt, and classic box/card. Also displaying them this way, you even got to use their extra accessories. When you look at mine, they are grouped by series...and clumped together. Which I might be considering display step platforms. I'll find you on facebook or twitter and send a current photo of my project room.

Gotta say: your collection is very impressive. Always nice to meet a fellow Omnigonix Spinout owner! ;-) I've held back on many of the 3Ps in anticipation of official releases so I'm some way behind you in terms of getting a reasonably full set. I'm slightly regretting passing on some of them, now. I really like the way you've mixed 3P and MP products to avoid too much repaint duplication. I, too, went MMC for Inferno and official for Grapple (although Maketoys' Hellfire is the only one with a good length on the ladder) and I'm a little envious of your Terraegis and Paean - I'd go for these, too, but, as I always wanted Trailbreaker as a kid, wanted to wait for the official. For the same reason, I'm short of a Hound (although I'm more tempted by Maketoys' Gundog). I have a couple of things I'd recommend if you get the chance to pick them up. Shadow Fisher's hip modification has really taken my MP Ratchet to the next level and is very cheap. Badcube's Huff v2.0 is also very good and very reasonably priced. At the more expensive end of things, I have an MP Shockwave (with a Shadow Fisher relacement LED head) and a Maketoys Howling Meteor (I also have a 3P coronation kit intended for the official MP that I am confident I can modify to fit him) and both of these are well worth their purchase price. At the moment, I'm looking forward to MMC's Cliffjumper and I'm getting into legends scale collecting with a mix of DX9 and Mech Planet. I also have a WST megatron. I wonder if your experience was the same as mine? I transformed him once, very slowly, transformed him back, discovered much time had passed and that I was sweating like I'd been defusing a bomb, put him back in the box and decided it was enough for me that I simply owned him! :-)

Nice that you have Skids represented with the Binaltech version, it’s pretty much Masterpiece level. I found him tricky to pose though, you have a different stance on yours to mine. Binaltech Hound is a good stand in for a Masterpiece too.

Back when cartoons could entertain and pass on wisdom. A great piece of nostalgia. I think Peter Cullen did the voices for Prime and Ironhide which to me its not only what you say but how you say it. Great Job on the video. Love how it started with the darkside badguys and ended with the moral of the story . Thank you.

Sweet collection. I like how you have them displayed with the G1 versions by their side. Can't wait for the G1 section. I choose the DX 9 Omega Supreme. He just looks more toon accurate to me. I own almost all Fanstoys figures and first owned TG as well but after seing the DX 9 I just had to sell TG. Everyone should choose what fits best for him I guess, just like you did with your Cronos. Take care buddy. Roy

Thanks Roy! I considered Gabriel as well but it was clear which one I preferred when I saw them side by side. Omega didn't make many cartoon appearances and the G1 toy was one of my favourites, so I went with the one that looked more toy inspired. You're right, we should all follow our hearts and not the crowd! :D

I loved the Transformers but I didn’t like playing with them when I was a kid. Too clunky and the more you transformed them the loser the arms and legs became. Not to mention that they would warp and crack the more you played with them. I played more with my Go Bots than Transformers. Sound Wave is still the best Transformer with the Constructicons a close second.
