Sir Many Gujarati/ Surati were living and trading in Rangoon ( Myanmar/ Burma ) from there they brought this dish here. Now as they were forced to leave Burma and they came back India. Many people here have surname like Rangoonwala.

Your videos are amazing but because I'm surti so I'll want to tell something about this video 1st is Adajan is not a heart place in surat because it's developed in past 12 to 15 years. You better understand from example like it's navi Mumbai of surat so heart of surat is where you eat Petish Navsari bazar and around area. 2nd things about you eat khavsha and aloopuri from not well known places even in rander you must eat both thing in tin batti area of rander. 3rd thing about locho every one who came Surat form discover food only eat locho at Gopal Locho but the best Locho you found at Shreeji Locho at Parle point. 4th you don't discover early morning food at Zampa Bazar the special Nalli Nihar

You are the first person who has said it bang on... what we eat in Delhi or for that matter in other parts of North India is Nylon khaman..... i noticed 80 percent of what gets sold in Suart or Ahmedabad is khaman.. people there avoid Nylon khaman.. sometimes they have guests who have got so much used to Nylon thing that they get it for them... but for them they generally ignore nylong khaman..... Dass khaman so famous shop in Ahmedabad does not even sell nylon khaman ....

One more thing sir , dhokla comes with yellow color and what you eat is known as Idada ( I know it will be difficult to pronounce ) and Aaloo Puri it self is made of Aaloo ( i.e. slice of potato ). And that Aaloo bhajiya I loved to eat it long ago on daily basis everyday alas those days are gone .

Dhokla is the gujarati version of Idli of south ...... excpt for presentation.... but for some reason I like gujarati breakfast because of the taste and varieties...... Sir patra aap shimla mai bhi khaye the...... the only thing is in gujarat they put sugar instead if they put jagggary it wud be healthy..... But this video has made my day I truely enjoyed the food by seeing it....

Forgive me but im a bit uneducated concerning indian dishes (though i watch a lot of different things in terms of food from different countries) I talked to a friend who is from India just yesterday and he was describing something that they eat for breakfast and another item that was a sweet? He mentioned Goa and Gujarat, and he described one as kind of..something similar to the US rock candy but it had a bit of a "sandy" texture as he put it..? One called uh...peta pava, and pne other one, like a bread thing eaten for breakfast in India. Whatever search results i just get along the line of peta (like the animal rights orginization, not food name 😅) And ive seen some yummy looking things but they are labeled in hindu? A pretty and swirly looking language, forgive me im not that well versed. Any info or maybe a link to a video with maybe what he is talking about if it seems familiar to any of you Id greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time, God bless. ^_^

khaman me natural fermentation nahee hotaa ... sirf rice-urad dhokla me (this dhokla is also known as khaata dhokla; खाटा ढोकला, ખાટા ઢોકળા, in marathi script: खाटा ढोकळा) ... as such aapne sahee bolaa khata dhokla virtually idli hai sirf humlog methi nahee daalte aur kabhi kabhi is me thodi bhigi chana daal daalte hai aur kabhi kabhi grated dudhi daali jaati hai ... khata dhokla is home food, khaman is market food but more and more khaman houses will serve both
