I'm surprised you didn't put the mounting tabs to the inside to keep a clean flush trip free mounting solution. I thought about doing this but I cannot bolt anything to my garage floor. so I'm thinking of making a small box around the bottom and filling it with concrete.

Yeah I just got mine put together about a month ago , after having it for over a year sitting in the box, haven't stopped cutting since, great machine with the right plasma cutter

Nice design, simple with some artistic look, I was thinking the holes on the side which you don't need are nice for looks, or even the same size pipe for each hole across each one, just something that's not needed for fiction but another idea of a cool look, personally I don't think I'd change a thing, but as a welder and looking for more cool looks, I'd one with maybe one without tubing, depending on how it turns out after wards, sometimes things in our head doesn't come out in reality as we think, but this is a nice job and many version could be produced if desired

Very artistic, nice display of capabilities (design and construction) rather than the standard stand. On the video, if you had an external mic your audio would be much clearer. Pacing was a bit up and down, but interested to see what you make next. Great project, and don’t forget to hydrate! Haha

You could move the floor mounting tabs to the inside of the legs to make the footprint smaller. If you improve your audio you'll get more views.

I like the artistic style you went with. Been cutting with my my Pro for a while now. Definitely need to step up cutter amps. How was it wiring up that Everlast 82i? I have one of there 45a in my shop for hand cutting and love it.

Simple I just used the raw voltage , 2 wires

What is your air setup. How much pressure are you sending the the cutter. I am converting a Longmill CNC router into a plasma with the Hynade cut60DN. I just got a 60 gal Craftsman today and getting it set up. I have always done wood work. Everyone asks me when I am going to start doing my flags in metal. Well here we go. Nice work on that stand.

Im using a 60 gallon as well just a cheap used one, the Everlast 82i im using runs at around 70psi at 60amps I cut everything at 60 amps and just adjust speed based on what thickness im cutting
@iowagrizz660
@iowagrizz660 Жыл бұрын
I second that. I have the Langmuir PRO with 5hp/60 G tank. During a long cut, compressor can catch up and shut off during cut just fine. put a good drying system in front of your machine to keep consumables from ending quickly and you'll be just fine. I Run a Razor 45a at 75psi

Until one piece of wire from the brush punctures your eyelid and your eyeball and hits the optic nerve and blinds you. No hearing protection either, your family will come to hate you as the hearing damage grows cumulatively. :-(

Sorry if you mentioned it in the video, but maybe I missed it. This is quarter inch material right? And you said you used the 0.9 tip at 75A?
@envisionmotorwerks
@envisionmotorwerks 2 жыл бұрын
Well I accidentally left the .9 tip in and the 75 amps pretty much destroyed the tip , .9 is really only good for about 45amps I switched to a 1.2 tip after blowing out the .9, but yeah its 1/4
@AlessioSangalli
@AlessioSangalli 2 жыл бұрын
@@envisionmotorwerks my plasma cutter only goes up to 60A but for 1/4" material I typically stay at 40-45A, what speed (in fusion 360 post process) do you use for 75A?
@envisionmotorwerks
@envisionmotorwerks 2 жыл бұрын
I actually switched to just running at 65amps for everthing and on 1/4 I run 90ipm with a 1 sec pierce delay, with the 80 amp plasma cutter at 60 to 65 amps I get 100% duty cycle
@AlessioSangalli
@AlessioSangalli 2 жыл бұрын
@@envisionmotorwerks I see, and you cut pretty big stuff, so maybe the bigger kerf to run at 65A is not a problem. 90IPM is fast :D for quarter inch material, but you surely have good results it seems. I will also try with higher speeds and current. Do you get a lot of bevel (tapered edges) when you cut with those settings?
@envisionmotorwerks
@envisionmotorwerks 2 жыл бұрын
@@AlessioSangalli yeah the higher speeds really seem to help with warpage too, I ran 140 ipm on the shop sign with 1/8 steel and it turned out great , the only thing I would watch out for is if your doing small holes i generally slow down the feed rate on the holes or the holes come out a little wonky
