Nikhilda's music makes your soul breathe with love , yearning, joy & a certain melancholy all at the same time. No other sitar player has achieved this quality yet. ❤💐

This is beyond music, and there are few words to express what it is.. If this is how it sounds in a recording, what must it have been for the listeners present

Samrat in the relative world. God is an internal invisble connection. That God exists within you too. And it is easy to realise that.

IS it possible to get a clearer video? maybe use AI to scale it upto 4k.
@7wardie4 жыл бұрын
According to the tuner he is tuned Sa as D with the tuner set to about 432hz, given the audio quility could affect the pitch. Having said that would he tune Marwa, the open playing strings to G# D (somthing other than A a 5th) maybe B,then low sa D? Nikhil has not, you can clearly hear the Pa string is an A. But what about the chikari? G#? it sounds a bit dissonant but that note is in the scale? Or are the playing strings kept separate and only sympathetics are tuned according to raga? It is very hard to hear i find. Someone please help this little sitar player in New Zealand!

Good ear.. It does sound like he has tuned the Pancham string (3rd string) to Pa, and you can see by his playing Da (without meend) on the second fret that this is the case (see 11:40). You can hear the Pa slightly when he strums at certain points between 12:00-14:00. For Marwa, I tune my Pancham string to Tivra Ma and my 3rd chikari to Da, as taught by my teacher. Thanks for pointing this out! I did not know he tuned his Pancham string to Pa for this raga. All the best.

@@jmmarino88 that was his default choice for most of the time. Pancham was set to A.
