All we can do is hope. There are some technologies being advanced right now from all the research I’ve been doing all we have to do is wait.

Very important for T2 to get examined right away! You may have been diabetic for years and undiagnosed, and already have damage. No one told me this!

I had diagnosed diabetes for years before I finally got a referral to an ophthalmologist. And that was only because I had developed a floater. They had me believing that seeing the optometrist was good enough. I was led to believe that the optometrist would tell me when it was time to switch over to the ophthalmologist. Some doctors really do deserve to be sued for being incompetent and/or lazy! How are you doing? I see the ophthalmologist next month for my annual exam. Hoping for good news of course.

@@jackschitt6235 Hope you are well. I am lucky that I can still drive for now, but need injections every month. If things get worse I won’t be able to drive.

@@JGComments Everyone's situation is different of course but is your current disease management as good as it can be? My NPDR diagnosis went from moderate to mild after I finally got better healthcare'and my A1C went from 10 to 7. Dr Richard Bernstein here on KZbin is 88 and has a video about reversing complications with normal blood sugar. It takes time for the body to heal and it depends how advanced the condition is obviously but following his plan will give you normal glucose and the best chance of healing or at least preventing things from getting worse.

@@jackschitt6235 Thanks. I was undiagnosed for a long time, so yes time will be needed. Within a few months of diagnosis I got to 6.5 and am pretty sure I can get it even lower. I appreciate your thoughts.
