I'm enjoying this series immensely, the fact that you edit your videos into bite size bits, to my mind, makes it all very appealing.

Made me smile to see the little avalanche of blasting media every time you hit the chisel - that stuff gets everywhere!

Another great vid. The one of the best tips I have picked up so far is one you haven't mentioned. I noticed you using a magnetic torch while welding. I bought one straight away, and now I can see what I'm doing, my welding is far less shocking. Thanks. As my own Midget progresses I'm looking forward to future videos showing how it all goes back together again, as I'm sure.

+owen miles thanks! Yes the magnetic torch is one of my most used tools! Really handy for welding as you say 👍🏻😁

I’m really enjoying these very informative vids, luckily my 1500 midget had already had all this work done before I bought it but still great to see the process and of course your progress too 👍🏻

My boot floor is good but I have the rear inside corners and fender quarters to do... i found a great tool for splitting the panels and spot welds after drilling... its from Eastwood and it cuts thru stubborn weld bits like butter...

Another great video that shows how meticulous you have to be when removing spot welds. I have seen a video where they added extra panels to strengthen parts that were weak in the original midget design. I also thought of added material at jacking points used by garage lifts and hydraulic jacks. Could you mention this in a future video. I have also seen a car treated with epoxy primer then with urethane primer. Can you explain why they do this when you get that far in your videos. Finally, how much cutting fluid do you used, and do you need to removed the remainder afterwards with thinners or spirits.

+CharltonLatchford most of the cutting oil comes off with the removed panels, but it all gets removed during body prep.

I forgot to ask. How long do your drills last? Do you sharpen them or buy new ones? The "how long" tells me how badly I drill holes🤔

+CharltonLatchford generally i’ll snap a drill bit before blunting it, so i often by new 🙄 plenty of cutting oil, dont let it cut dry.

@@VisionAutoGarage I’m really sorry to hear that you was one of the inspirations to drive me to get a mg midgets use to watch you a few years back I believe we even exchanged a chat on Facebook once about possibly buying a car if you and talking about ecus. I have finally saved up enough to get my own mg midget and whilst I won’t be doing anything insane like a v6 swap I will be doing a lot to the chassis and suspension so would be great to hear from you again as you know an awful lot about these cars.
